MacBook Pro 2015 keeps completely freezing and wifi issues

Same issue here. Seems to happen while browsing in Safari. Mouse freezes and then the trackpad fails to "click" after a few seconds. The only option is a hard power down. The first time it happened an Excel file I was working on was corrupted and permanently lost. Hopefully this will get fixed in a software update.

I have the exact same issue. Apple has replaced the logic board and the hard drive but it hasn't solved anything. Has anyone found a fix for this yet?

I have the same problem. It is reassuring to know that it might not be the logic board, but I still really want a fix. My macbook is freezing once or twice a day.

I don't understand how a router could make your computer freeze though? Can anybody explain how that works?

Also having the issue of it freezing periodically, but I'm guessing from your post that they won't find anything obvious at the genius bar. I've experienced it different places, so I'm also guessing it's unrelated to the router. Anyone get any resolution to this?

After taking my my computer to the apple store 4 times they replaced my hard drive and logic board to no avail they finally agreed to replace my laptop. If your computer still has apple care and they cannot find out what is wrong with some persistence they will replace your machine. Be sure and talk to a manager though.

+1. Same problem. 13" early 2015.
I suspect that it has something to do with video in browser, in my case all freezes happened when new page (safari) that contain video was opened.

freezing when attempting to display Flash content from the web can be caused by an out-of-date Flash.

Apple sometimes blocks out-of-date versions of Flash Player, because they have incredible numbers of Bugs! Download ONLY from:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer

I use and recommend ClickToPlugin Safari extension, cousin of the old ClickToFlash. It is extremely well-behaved and keeps you from using up resources playing stupid videos in ads and on web pages (unless you click on them to play).

If you think you have a Wi-Fi problem, Start a new Thread with a more-specific title, and post the answers to these questions:

what is your PHY mode and Channel?

what is your RSSI or signal Strength?

what is your Transmit speed?

and very important, how many other Networks do you see?

To get those answers, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Wi-Fi Icon. you get a display like this:

Maybe in some cases, but not mine. I dont even have flash installed and it also freezes up When I run out office and other random times. There's no kernel panic in the logs either, which as far as I know implies a hardware issue that the native hardware check isn't picking up.

Please try this experiment for me:

The next time it freezes, do not touch the trackpad (every gesture would make it worse), and just wait for 5-15 minutes and see if it would recover.

In my case when it freezes, macbook is able to recover some time later, after that it works extremely laggy, but it is good enough to save all my files and reboot it cleanly.

I'll do that, but will that bring us closer to an answer? I'd like to know how to fix this instead of finding ways to work around it. I didn't pay $1800 for a computer to have to work around its defects.

Sure thing man. Sorry if I seem to be argumentative. Believe me, its not you. Next time it freezes (its about due for a freeze) I'll let it hang for 15 or so minutes and see if it picks back up.

It appears that this problem has been more widely acknowledged.

It's OK, i'm also not very happy about the whole deal, but I hope that they will fix this issue asap, after it got some attention from the media.
