MacBook Pro 2015 keeps completely freezing and wifi issues

Hi,

I've had my macbook pro 2015 for about a month now and have encountered an array of problems, which hasn't filled me with hope from making the jump from windows to mac.

The first and most annoying one is that whilst browsing the internet on safari and chrome (I tried both) the whole computer freezes the mouse won't move/click the only option is powering it down. This has happened whilst I was constructing this message.

The second is that it will randomly drop wifi and not connect to certain networks, which is usually coupled with a complete freeze.

The specs are here:

Early 2015 MacBook Pro Retina 13 inch

OSX Yosemite 10.10.3

2.7ghz Intel i5 CPU

8 GB DDR3 RAM

Any help will be greatly appreciated as it is driving me nuts!

Hi all,

I'm another victim of this problem. I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015), 2.7 i5, 8gb. I bought it refurbished from apple.com. Had since Nov, everything was super good and I was super happy after moving from Windows. About 2-3months ago it started freezing on me. Just like everyone describes, computer will stop responding and about 15-30 sec the force touch stops working and it's kaput! Hard restart needed.

I went on the interwebs to look for help from the smarter people. I found not much but enough to see that Im not the only one. Meanwhile I was observing when the freeze would happen.

I thought it was the Messenger app fro Facebook, turned that off - worked for a week.

The fans were going super fast for no apparent reason so I reseted the memory(?) - I dont remember the name. Helped the fans but the laptop still had freezes.

Next flash player and malware. Did the malware test and found some bug. Lasted 2 days - froze again.

So today I had FCPX opened up and in the background two windows with safari, some youtube. Nothing was playing, just loaded in the background. - Froze

Restated it, opened FCPX, froze again.

I really had enough, my 6year old Samsung was slow but never quit on me like that.

Yup ... I've been on 11.5 for a week and so far no more crashes (2015 Mac Book 13 inch Pro Retina) ... wasn't that so sweet of Apple to waste hours and days of all our time without actually ever owning up to the problems they caused! Other than a few hours spent on various forums + the hour I spent talking to Apple Tech Help on the phone (who knew NOTHING and simply wasted a load of my time deleting malware that clearly was NOT the issue!)
