Passcode change itself
I have an Iphone 6. After restarting my device, it has asked me for the 4 digit passcode. i have the same passcode since i have the and i never changed it until...it changed by itself. How can this happen?

I Thought this happened to me. But turned out to be user error. My bad.
It just happened to my iphone 6+. Have to use icloud to erase my phone and reinstall from backup.
Yes, this DOES happen. Stop all the self righteous snark. It's been happening a lot following the latest iOS update, including to me. I have NEVER changed my passcode in 7 years--now all of a sudden it doesn't work.
You're so helpful and knowledgeable Felipe! Try and accept the possibility that this could be something beyond user error. Or maybe your arrogant enough to work for Apple.
No one on this forum works for Apple. Now that we have that clear, do you have a technical support question?
Right, because you designed the iPhone and know everything about it.
I do actually, but not one that anyone besides an engineer on the iPhone team could answer. This issue is real it just happened to me where I'm locked out of my iPhone 6S after the latest update to iOS 10.
What I'm railing against in my posts is that a lot of people on this community think that just because something is _not supposed_ to happen that it's impossible and must be human error that's causing the issue.
I've had the same passcode on my iPhone for several years (across different models). This morning that same passcode does not work. I haven't even opened settings in the last few weeks except to add wifi networks. I just feel bad for people who've had this issue, but are being talked down to with "user error."
Thank you though for responding to me.
Unfortunately, this seems to be a big problem. Being in IT my first reaction would be that most of the time this is user error. However, I will say that I have had an iPhone 7 for a couple months and have used the same 6 digit passcode since I got the phone. Normally, I use touch id, until tonight. My phone prompted me for my passcode (the same one I've been using for months) and it didn't work. I have had my phone with me all day...no one else has had access to my phone to change the passcode. This is clearly a bug somewhere. Having to resort to a full restore of my phone. I hope I don't lose anything.
To those that said... "that's not posible, you had to have done something" well it just happened to my mother-in-law. Woke up with the same problem. Did you get the problem resolved?
How did you restore it when it won't let you delete all?
This happened to me too. But my case was weird. I had a brand new reset iPhone and I put it in a hidden place. The next morning it had a passcode. Don't know what happened!
Yeah that's where your wrong coincidence my new 5s did the same thing
Same to me, hopefully i've erase and restore it.
First of my Touch id, won't work, then i can't enter my password (it was impossible to 'someone to change it'
The passcode on my iPhone 6plus changed by itself while setting up my iPhone 8 plus. So yes they do change by them
