I have an Iphone 6. After restarting my device, it has asked me for the 4 digit passcode. i have the same passcode since i have the and i never changed it until...it changed by itself. How can this happen?

The passcode doesn't just randomly change itself. If so there would be millions of users complaining of not being able to access their device. Most likely you used something different and at the time you set it up or changed it there was a reasonable explanation for it but now you don't remember what you used. It happens and the way to fix it can be found here:
Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
If you seach 'passcode changed itself' under discussions their is someone who was holding his phone when it happened. Nuts! Icloud can fix your disabled phone.
This has happened to me too ... Can't get into my phone because requiring 6 digit instead of the 4 digit I have always had ...
This happened to me a few months ago too. Except it was my restrictions passcode. I had used it to set something, and when I went back in it locked me out. I wasn't resetting my passcode, I was using it. And I had just used it and it worked, then a few minutes later when I tried it again, it locked me out. It was night time (late) when I was doing this. Everybody's complaint seems to be overnight (or at least most people's). A night gremlin? I know, it's a bed bug.
I have been waiting for a fix in one of their releases, but to no avail. I will have to erase my entire phone, and spend hours setting it up again. I am really fed up with having tech to be my part-time job. Where is the real convenience if it eats up hours and hours of my life?
My question is, is Apple going to do anything about this?

You or someone else that had access to your phone, changed it. That's how.
Impossible unless someone broke in to my house when we were sleeping and left no trace of his/her crime or it was a form of sleep walking/ghostly possession.
For the third time:
1). You changed it without realizing
2). Someone else did and now will not admit it.

I Thought this happened to me. But turned out to be user error. My bad.
It just happened to my iphone 6+. Have to use icloud to erase my phone and reinstall from backup.
You're so helpful and knowledgeable Felipe! Try and accept the possibility that this could be something beyond user error. Or maybe your arrogant enough to work for Apple.
No one on this forum works for Apple. Now that we have that clear, do you have a technical support question?
Right, because you designed the iPhone and know everything about it.
Thank you though for responding to me.
To those that said... "that's not posible, you had to have done something" well it just happened to my mother-in-law. Woke up with the same problem. Did you get the problem resolved?
How did you restore it when it won't let you delete all?
