It was the disrespectful manner in which the reply was written I take issue with. Why so defensive? Anyway, I was reading these posts with hopes to find a real answer to my issue without having to post my information. Clearly, I am going to have to share.

Iphone6

Version. 10.3.2

Not jailbroken

Verizon carrier

Good enough?

Now the issue, any level of charge. 20%, 80% or anywhere in between my phone just shuts off. I attempted to restart my phone right away. Not one thing happens. No temperature warnings, no low battery displays. Nothing. Then, at some point it turns back on. In its own. Or with my help. It varries. Sometimes it's plugged in. Sometimes it's not.

Pardon me for questioning why someone needs to treat people like they're not smart. This forum is to help people and they were not helpful. At all. I had read a few comments like that from trolls who have nothing better to do and I got sick of it. Moving on... anyone find a solution?

Have you tried erasing your device and setting it up as a new device, then using it for awhile to see if the problem still exists or is fixed? If you still have the problem with a totally clean device (i.e., one not set up from a backup and only signed in), then it needs to go back to Apple to see what they can do.

If you try that and it does work as expected, then you would erase it again and restore it from the backup to see if the issue returns. If it does, the there is either an app or corrupted data that is causing the issue, and you would want to erase again and set up the phone manually.

If restoring it to the backup resolves the issue, then you are all set.

If you have a phone replaced, then you absolutely need to make a backup of that device before taking it in to get exchanged.

Photos should have already been imported to your photos library on your computer. If you are using iCloud Photo Library, then the device isn't relevant.

Messages will go away if you don't have a backup. So will all of your settings, and your "download profile" (i.e., the purchased items that reside on the old phone that would be automatically re-downloaded if you were restoring from a backup. You can, of course, re-download any of your purchased media manually, or by syncing.

Same!!!! I had put my phone on the charger and it was at 46% and I went to take a shower so I plugged it in on my counter in the bathroom and after I grabbed for my phone to turn music on as I normally do while showering and it suddenly wasn't turning on at all. I plugged it back in and no charging signal came on and it didn't turn on for three hours straight and when it decided to turn on it was at 3%. Instead of worrying about making a new generation of IPhone each month, Apple should seriously consider focusing on fixing these issues.

This does not seem to be a warranty issue. It seems to be an apple software issue? I will be going to Apple store in the morning and my Iphone 6 is off warranty and never had any issue untill I attempted to update onh iTunes. Mine even went off and to red battery indicator while pluged into itunes and iTunes was waiting for the iphone to respond in order to continue the update. Now I plug it in for hours and the charge does not go up much. There is an issue with the Apple software sounds like an issue in the programming of the apple power center. I also know of people who all of a sudden their iphones are getting very hot and they never had this upto the time of the update. Apple check out your update and replace every iphone you caused this fault to occure. I think the heating is burning the power control center out.

Hi Maine,

Yes, when I disconnect from the charger in the morning it was 100% shown on the bar. About an hour later after charged, I notice it was already shut off and I can't turn it on. I tried to plug in the charger, there's no charging sign as well. I hold both the Home and Power buttons for up to 30 seconds, I tried to go into safe mode (hold the power button for 10 seconds and then power and home buttons for 10 seconds) I can't get in too.

me too!

was fully charged and working fine - didn't drop it or knock it or anything like that....

have tried all the usual, even plugging in for a charge but nothing works.

what the?!

....edited to show now FIXED!

after repeated holding power+home button, I finally got phone to start.

May need to hold down both together for 15 seconds.

It took longer than usual but eventually started up......
