iPhone 6 plus sudden shut off and won't turn on.

I just did the hold the power button and home button and at exactly 15 seconds the my iPhone 6S Plus phone started. I did not charge it overnight so when it booted it was at 25% charge. Does anyone know why this is happening? Should I swap our phone since I just bought it a week ago?

Unless you are having to restart it more than just occasionally, then no, you don't need to return it. Have you downloaded any apps that were not from the App Store?

This is first time it happened to me and no I did not download any apps not from App store. My daughter thought it might be some Safemode feature I enabled by accident but I don't recall doing anything like that. I will keep an eye on phone and see if it happens again. Thx.

OK. So, just like a computer needs to be rebooted occasionally, sometimes the iDevice does too. If the reset is not something you have to do often, then there is nothing to worry about. It is perfectly normal.

I'm experiencing the same issue. It started last week that my phone would shut off and show the low battery sign when there is still 79% battery remaining. I reboot the phone holding on the home and starting button for 30 seconds, but it will show the home screen and then immediately shut down. I had to plug in the charger to re-start it, but then after unplugging, same thing happens. I reset the phone as well, but still experiencing the random shut-offs.

I Have had this problem regularly over the past 18 months!!!

THe he last time I was abroad where I needed my phone urgently for business!

i Was in touch with T-Mobile to get a new one shipped to me when suddenly it came in with 62%

Here's what I've tried for an iphone6 that was charged at 75 percent and operating perfectly well until I plugged it in yesterday--screen black, won't power on, calls call right to vm. the toothpick, the air in the charging port. Holding down home and on button simultaneously for up to a minute, repeating, repeating. Plugging usb into computer, then holding down home button while inserting usb into phone. Plugging with usb into computer, opening iTunes. All nada. Other ideas? What causes a sudden powering off when plugging it in?

i am having that problem now and it wont turn on no matter how many times i reset it ????

When you say you have reset it, what exactly do you mean? Can you describe what you are doing to reset the device? Have you put it on the charger to make sure it has a charge?

this has been happening several times in the past 30 days or so. last night it happen again and this morning, i am holding Home and Power buttons several different lengths of time, including up to 60 seconds. Still will not start up. It is currently being charged for the past hour and nothing

Also, after thinking about this, I just recently updated my iPhone sometime within the past 30 days....

My iPhone is not working.....please advise about this situation.

You need to plug your device into a wall outlet to charge it. Not only does a charge via the USB port on a computer take longer and is a drain on the computer battery, but in your case, it is not working at all, so the device is not charging.

iPhone has been hooked up to walk outlet for 4 hours, still nothing....😠

This is exactly my issue - happened on my 6S notlong after purchasing - I chalked up to a "hiccup" and Pressing both buttons eventually worked. It seems to be happening much more frequently now and plugging it in to a charger immediately brigs it back - it acts like the battery just died.

Hi, anyone knows what to do???? I am experiencing this as well. Tried power on and hard reset. my phone turns on with the apple logo, for about 1 minute, and then black screen. Please advise, i would like to avoid restoring my phone, since i have yet to backup my whatsapp. Thank you!!
