Perfect.
Hi
I would not recommending a WIfi network as using this option usually tends to really slow down your wifi network.
A far better option is to connect via powerline adaptors and then create a network ensuring that the networks do not interfere by locking one set and leaving the other on automatic

Ted,
There are several different setup examples in this post. Which one are you referring to?
One covers the setup using a wired Ethernet cable connection (or Ethernet adapters could be used) and the other covers two different types of setups....one using Ethernet connections between devices and the other uses wireless.
You are correct in that a wireless extension will tax network speeds, but the illustrations were examples......not recommendations for a specific type of setup.
Extending networks wirelessly is imho a waste of time
Thank you I will try this. I think I am afraid I will mess something up. what about the wireless wi fi that I already have set up? Do I need to delete that or will I lose anything?
I do not know what a power line adapter is. Where would I get one ?
When you reset the AirPort back to default settings, the older setup will be lost.
You might want to note the basic settings that the AirPort is using now, so you can come back to that if you need to.
