Call History showing up on another iPhone

Hi,

Hopefully you can help.

I use my phone for business and we have noticed in the last few days that all of the calls I make and receive are appearing in my wife's iPhone recent call history?

I have hunted high and low in settings on both phones but with no joy.

It is only affecting calls i make, not the other way round? so i am not seeing calls my wife makes on her phone in my recent call history?

It is also not affecting text messages...

We are both using the same iCloud account but the inconsistencies above suggest its something more involved (or very simple!)

The slightly odd thing is that it only seems to do it when my phone is at home, i went out this afternoon and the calls made/received have not appeared on her history. so maybe its a wifi thing?...but...

I also phoned vodafone when i got home to see if they could help (they couldn't!) and that short dial number is also not appearing on her history?

Yes me is two separate people with different names, numbers and emails. Why would I create a separate accounts when we have had iPhones for 5 years with no problems before? This thread is on page 126 on my phone, that has been mentioned ad nauseum. I want the phones to work like they have the last 5 years.

Thank you, best knowlegeable post yet!! I just called and complained to speak to an advanced tech. I was told that the program Handoff causes this issue. It's under settings and general. Turn it off and the issue will be resolved. I am testing this now and hopefully will know if it works by tomorrow as the facetime cellular off took a day and it was back on.

thanks again for the posting the number, if this doesn't work I will be calling again!!

I am having the same problem but it's only going one way from my phone to my wife's phone. Apple says they have never heard of this problem. They were snippy about sharing an Apple ID and I reminded them it was the only way to share my iTunes Match account. Why Verizon thinks it's ok to share call logs is concerning. Imessage ok but not my calls. By the way we both use a different Apple ID for FaceTime and iMessage. We share an account for itunes apps and I match but both our phones are set up with additional personal accounts for messaging and FaceTime

Which you're not supposed to do.

Verizon isn't sharing squat.

just an FYI i have been sharing an iCloud account for many years, and this problem of getting calls from another device just started a week ago so I am calling BS on your theory of iCloud causing the problem. Cause if that was the cause it would have happned years ago. So anyone else come up with a REAL reason this is happening please share it. Oh also just food for thought I have my iCloud shared on my iPhone 6 plus, my brothers iPhone, my moms, my dad, my iPad, and 2 of my sons, so that's 7 devices and yet only two are having this problem in the laat week or so, so why would the other five not be getting these calls as well if it was an iCloud issue. Not trying to call u wrong well yeah actually I am but I just don't think this icloud issue you say has anything to do with it. I will go to verizon tomorrow and figure out the problem and share it for everyone else can fix it.

This is not true. It happens to me. We have a Macbook Pro, 2 iPads and 3 iPhones all on the same iCloud. It's only happening with my son's outgoing calls appearing on my phone. I don't see my wife's and she doesn't see any others than her own. It is recent. And it's happening while I'm at work and my son is at home, both phones are not on the wi-fi network. Are you saying that they populate when I return home? My wi-fi stays turned off on my phone as well.

Hey this issue is referring to the continuity feature on the new iOS 8.3 software update. If you and another family member share an apple id this can happen. There are a few fixes. Go into settings > FaceTime and turn off cellular calls. Also if anyone is experiencing this with messages in settings > iMessage > send/receive see what contact details are selected and unselect the ones that aren't yours.

Above are just quick fixes. The best issue is to set up individual apple ids and what is called family sharing (this allows you still share purchases and content etc)

NNothing seems to fix. It actually occurs only 1 way for my wife and I and it is only doing it while on cellular. Not wifi Turning off handoff did not help. We already use separate ID for messaging and faceTime. The only thing we share an ID for is apps and music. Mainly because iTunes Match does not work with muliple ID family share EVEN though we paid the $25 for each account in the family share plan.
