AMD Radeon R9 M370X Struggling to play games (i.e. GTA V) - bootcamp

super stable for me. Only issues I have notice with El capitan is that sometimes spotlight search comes up at the very bottom of the screen and gets cut off. You can always make a Time Machine backup first. And then restore if you don't like it.

I agree. £2400 or whatever i paid for it, you would expect it to be an improvement over the old macbook pro.

So gutted the graphics aren't as good in bootcamp as they are on the nvidia macbook.

Will try to open a job ticket as its really not on.

Surprisingly, since the day MBPs came out, I have never bought a single MBP with AMD. Always nVidia. Minis have AMDs though.

ok, so i've just had a long chat with apple support.

They're not offering support.

Apparently we have to speak to AMD regarding drivers for the graphics card.

Knew i should have bought a dell for work 😠

I don't know if the original poster or Loner T can help me with this, but I would like to know, straight up when I installed windows 8.1, what drivers I have to install to run GTA V properly. With the Macbook Pro retina Nvidia Geforce 750M. What direct x version , and should I install Nvdia drivers. or if there is any other thing i have to install to be ready to eat gta at 1920x1200 on high settings 60fps, please lemme know thanks

first of all, well done! its not working for ne so far. Did you install any display driver then? if i dont install the amd driver then there will be only installier the Windows display adapter driver. How did you get around this?

I have ELC, but on a different machine now. I no longer have a suitable Mac to test.

Direct X version(s) supported should be checked in the driver release notes.

I actually listened to your advice from the last time, to not go with the 2012 model, so I went with the middle 2014 MacBook Pro 15 '' Retina 750M with 16GB of ram and 512GB SSD, it cost me 2200$ CAD/ 1687$ USD

This link is VC++. Unless you want to write code, you do not need this. Did I give you this link? If yes, can you give me the context or the link to the thread this came from?
