Can't Install iTunes 10.7 on OSX 10.6.8

I'm trying to install iTunes 10.7 from the dmg file onto OSX 10.6.8 and I used AppZapper to get rid of the previous version of iTunes because it was giving me this error message here in this image. But after using the AppZapper I'm still getting this same error message. There must be some residual file somewhere remaining hidden that I probably need to delete in order to execute a different versions install. But then again, I'm only guessing? I need to install 10.7 only, not any newer version of iTunes. Any suggestions please?

ok...Limnos, I was able to successfully restore my iPhone 5 with an old backup file from last year, only after my iPad 3rd Gen was able to restore first, I'm not sure why that seemed to trigger the sync process for the iPhone but it did, and it worked no problem after that. I have another question for you, not sure if it applies to this thread but since you are the only one whom is helping me, I figured I would direct this one your way...

Do you know how to sync an iOS 6.1.6 iPhone 3GS with which iTunes version (I tried iTunes 8.2.1 but didn't work) that it takes for OSX 10.4.9 Tiger? And do I have to have OSX 10.4.10 or .11, if so how would I get the update patch for only OSX 10.4.10/11? I read somewhere that iTunes 8.2.1 should sync with iPhone 3GS but not sure what the max iOS it takes to do that?

iPhones need at least the iTunes version that was current at the time the phone was sold. I don't remember what that was for iPhone3s.

Now we must be talking about a completely different computer if you are asking about Tiger OS. Do you have that installed on a computer already? You can run up to iTunes 9.2.1 under Tiger. I don't know if it needs 10.4.11 or will work with a lower version. Check the specifications for 9.2.1
