I am an artist with music on apple music streaming. I cannot log in to connect with my apple id.

I am an artist with music on Apple iTunes and Apple music streaming. I can't log in to my account using my apple id to manage my artist profile. I get a message "your apple id is not enabled for iTunes connect". I have checked my id and it is registered with apple. How can I enable my id?

Thanks for the info.......however, each of these links takes me back to the log in page. All I get is the message "your apple i.d. is not enabled for iTunes connect". I just can't log in no matter how many times I change my i.d. or password. I did contact apple tech and they just give me the same links over and over. I CAN'T LOG IN! That's it, I'm giving up on connect.

Perhaps, with as chaotic as the rest of the roll out seems to be, iTunes Connect isn't fully functional there yet? I am just guessing.

When you spoke with them on the phone, I take it they didn't suggest that it was a problem when you told them you were in Canada?

Also, did you receive the email that reads like this?

And believe me, I am not trying to frustrate you - if I am, please accept my apologies, and I'll butt out.

It took me about three weeks from the time I applied to the time that email arrived.

Here's where I applied:

https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebObjects/iTunesConnect.woa

It took me to a screen where I could add my music and ask to manage myself. I got an acknowledgement email and, about three weeks later, I got the You're In email.

Thanks Bob; I tried that link, but it first took me to the log in, which I can't do. Then I went to the application page you sent. My music is already on iTunes via cd Baby. The requirements are to have 20 albums which I don't have or you have to work with an aggregate company, which I already do. There seems to be no way to access my profile thru connect. I give up.

thanks for trying to help.

I understand the frustration. I have a single CD on iTunes with CD Baby as well. When Apple sent me the You're In! email, the email address they had was the wrong one. I could not sign in with it. AND, it wasn't the email address I used to request an account. I was flying blind through most of it, finally discovering that it worked, but only from an iPhone. You get no indication that anything worked on a Mac or an iPad. Weirdest **** thing.

I guess the good news is - the tools for CONNECT suck so much I almost wish I was where you are with hope, instead of having them and being utterly disappointed!

I wish you well.

They get all the info they have on iTunes from AllMusic.com, which gets it from Rovi, which gets it from who-knows-where. It's kind of a cluster flick.

They have the wrong BIO for me - it's an entirely different Bob Martin. So the best Apple can do is remove my bio. AllMusic can do nothing, and I've written to Rovi to see if I can get it changed.

AND, for years, Apple had me lumped in the same account as the other Bob Martin. I FINALLY got them to cut me loose so I could manage my own self.

This is the problem when the world gets too big to be the world anymore.

Well, all of a sudden for no apparent reason it worked. My log in worked and changed nothing. I have been trying to find the solution for a month now and it just suddenly let me log in without me changing a thing. I got an email telling me that they just have to approve my request.

So let's see how it goes from here.

This info may be relevant to some of the posters on here. Apple seem to have made a half hearted attempt at a social music platform.

I'm in a band and I have music on itunes, I claimed my artist profile. Tried to post something onto my artist profile via itunes OSX on my mac pro but there is no option to post. I emailed apple.

This is their email reply:

Hi Ben,

Thanks for reaching out!

Posting to Connect is currently only supported from iOS devices. We appreciate your patience as we work to support more platforms for uploading.

Thank you! We hope you are enjoying the service so far.
Sincerely,
Apple Music Support

I logged into itunes on a friends IOS device and made a post on my artist profile, that was ok. But there really should be a way to do it from itunes OSX. It's also not clear if you will have to choose to pay the monthly subscription to apple music if you want to continue to post from your artist profile once your 3 month free trail is over.

Weirdly, once I made a post via an IOS device I could then reply to any comments anyone left using OSX itunes on my desktop computer (Mac pro) Just seems crazy not to let you post from your main desktop computer. Besides which, I don't have a ios device!

Also can't work out how to post as just my band name rather than as "Ben Barker" from The Haggis Horns.

This should be a simple thing but it just seems weirdly limited. Which is a same because it would work for everyone from day one.

I can appreciate your frustration with Apple. I finally got an email from them.............Your In! Welcome.....etc etc. Then it goes on to say Unfortunately you cannot post from your desktop computer, only an iphone. I don't have one. So after 6 weeks of trying to get in to manage my band's account, they suddenly tell me I can't do it from my computer. Seems strange a company like apple would have so much trouble coming up with something anyone can use. I really hope they get it together.
