iOS 8.4 GPS Issue
I updated to iOS 8.4 and now my GPS isn't getting data quickly, when using Maps or Waze for directions it take so long to figure out where it's at it's pretty much useless. Anyone else having this issue?

Same here! iPhone 6 plus, TomTom, Navigon; no go!
problem getting to my destination, very very bad!
hi, thank you, after turning GPS off and on again everything is fine now :-D
Yes same issue (iPhone 6). Tried turning off GPS an on again, tried turning phone off and on. No joy.
Maps not working nor third party apps using GPS.
Will try and revert to 8.3 tonight as rely on GPS on phone.
Tried turning off/on location services (GPS) but did not help on my iPhone 6...
This worked for me too!!1 Thanks
I had the same issue but it seems much better after having disabled Location Services entirely, hard rebooting the phone, and then re-enabling Location Services after the reboot. GPS navigation was far improved on my way to work this morning than it was on my way home last night. Tested using Google Maps, Waze, and Apple Maps and all seemed better this morning.
+1 same problem. iPhone 6+ iOS 8.4, tried restarting phone and turning location services on/off but Apple maps and waze having trouble getting and maintaining GPS location and location is often incorrect by 50 - 500 meters.
Help!
Same here. iPhone 6 Plus, upgraded to 8.4. GPS is all wonky since updating. I've tried turning off and on Location Services with no luck. Will see if Disabling Location Services, hard rebooting, and the re-enabling Location Services will help.
This seems like a huge thing for Apple to have missed.
Mostly the same problem. I have an iPhone 5S, but I only see the problem with Waze. RunKeeper had no problem establishing a GPS link, just as fast as with 8.3, but Waze now takes minutes.
So my phone didn't lose it's mind, this is an actual issue with the update.
Good find. I also lost Touch ID after 8.4 upgrade and didn't even notice this one. I couldn't even get Maps to load! I did toggle Location Services off, then on, and that appears to have fixed it for me. works fine now, just wish Touch ID would come back....😠
Toggling Location Services off, restarting, then turning them back on didn't work for me at first. But the following did resolve this for me (with Waze and other apps):
1. Close all running apps (double tab home button and swipe up on each app)
2. Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Off
3. Power off
4. Power on
5. Settings > Privacy > Location Services > On
Tried that, location services still way off, shows the phone location being about 3-5 blocks away.
I wonder: could this have to do with the extra second that was added yesterday (the leapsecond)? This throws of some clocks, maybe the GPS clock is not synchronised oke now...
I too am having this issue on 8.4. iPhone 5s. I tried Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Find my Friends. All of them can only find me within about 50 - 100 yards instead of locking in. Apple maps eventually picks up a good enough location when travelling on the interstate.
