ios 8.4 music missing

Do you sync with iTunes? If so your music would be there.

Same here, iphone 6.I have not tried synching back to iTunes as I don't have my laptop with me right now.

Does not help.

When the iPhone is connected to my PC, iTunes shows my Music on my phone as "Other". In iTunes when I go the the music sync settings it says...

"iPhone can access your iCloud Music Library. Songs can be downloaded and played via Wi-Fi or a cellular network."

Even if I turn off iCould music library both in iTunes on the PC, and on the iPhone nothing changes. I have 80gb of music on my phone listed as dead space. I dont want to have to wipe, or restore my phone, but I may have to.

Just make sure that iCloud music library is turned off in settings/music/ before you resync

HI. Since updating my devices my iPad Air is showing all my music correctly, but my iPhone 6 is missing a few iTunes tracks from albums and I can't see a way of downloading those tracks again. iTunes tells me that I have purchased the music but there is no cloud for me to tap to download the missing tracks. Very annoying

Same here. My iPhone 6 is fine. If I use my SONOS system I can see all my library by using My iPad icon and on iTunes under purchased. Very frustrating and being asked to pay for advice from Apple Support for something Apple have caused is very annoying! Will try a re-sync.

This is exactly what happened to me. I have 5300 songs in the "other" category. I can see them on my phone (through iTunes) if I connect my iPhone to my computer. From settings on my phone have zero songs. If I put the iPhone in airplane mode, I have no music available. No one seems to have a solution yet.

I have connected my iPhone to my laptop and gone through my iTunes account and managed to sync my music back onto my iPhone. The trouble I have is some of the music has duplicated itself, so I now have to manually check my music and delete any duplicates.

Maybe somebody from Apple could take a look at these threads/ discussions about iOS 8.4 and then come up with some answers

Connecting and performing a sync to iTunes seems to have resolved my missing song issue.

I now just have the icon on my iPad, when I open it the Apple Music logo just sits there doing nothing, iPhone still okay, but not all radio stations start. Wonder if they are online yet?

The only music appearing on my iPhone 5S is music I previously bought via iTunes. The hundreds of CDs I had added are gone as are all the playlists. I do not use Cloud syncing or storage. Do not upgrade unil this issue is fixed.

I had the same problem with my iPhone 6 and fixed it by syncing to iTunes.

After checking through my music on my iPhone I have discovered that there is still a lot of my iTunes purchased music missing. Here is my findings and this is where I'm at.

From the iPhone 6 home screen I go iTunes Store, more, purchased, music, all, scroll down to an artist that is missing in my library & it says downloadeg, I can click play on any track and it plays but the artist is not showing in my library, I currently have approximately 1/3rd of my music hiding somewhere on my iPhone. I have tried resettin, power off & on still no joy, anybody experiencing the same and can help?

Resyncing with iTunes on my computer did restore everything. I did not let iTunes update on my computer thought.

Very surprised that Apple put out such an update that looks like they are trying to force users to the cloud and their music service.
