iOS 8.4 screen rotation not working

It's solved in 9.0 beta.

Tried ried it on two of my three iPads, and the problem is gone...

Same issue here with iPad Air and iOS 8.4. Hard reset fixes it for a few days. Seemingly related issue: I had noticed that my screen was much dimmer recently. I had to turn brightness up much further than before to get the screen looking the way I wanted. A hard reset fixed this as well. Will have to see if this issue returns along with the rotation issue.

I have finally resolved the issue, and fixed all the other bugs in 8.4 at the same time. I've updated to iOS 9 beta 2 which appears to work better with fewer bugs than iOS 8.4.

Hey I got the same issue on my iPad Air 2 iOS 8.4 and for me rotation stops working while I am using Safari Only. Once I exit safari, window rotation starts working fine again. My Lock screen also doesn't rotate if safari is open behind it.

This really seems to have solved the problem, THX.

Very funny, this setting reduces the motion to none at all, not even rotating...

Some developer must have thougt very hard about this.😠

Had the problem after updating OTA from 8.3 to 8.4, iPad Air 2, 64GB

I can't believe it. Apple didn't fix this in 8.4.1 update. For them only the new Apple Music seems to be important.

I can confirm this has not been fixed in 8.4.1 (iPad2 64 WiFi).

Seems to be more important to fix the jailbreak. Very disappointing...

I Just updated my iPad Air to 8.4.1 and found the rotation not working issue and the slowness in home screen returning when closing apps. (Lag).

i have reduced motion enabled.

I fixed the problem by disabling reduced motion, rebooting the iPad and re enabling reduced motion..

hope this works for you too.

This helped me, now i know i will not update to 8.4.1

I have three devices (iPod and two iPhones) running 8.4.1 and zero problems. Perhaps your jailbreak is responsible.

As far as I know, this is an iPad only problem. I have an iPad Air and an iPhone 6. No problem with the iPhone, but I do have the problem on the iPad. Neither is jailbroken.

The "delayed wake from sleep" and "rotational issues" apply only to the iPad Air 2 under iOS 8.4...and now also under iOS 8.4.1.
