Icloud music library not activating

When I try to switch on Icloud Music Library it switches back off within a few seconds automatically.

I've tried all the methods so far: airplane mode, remove/add my account, reboot, closing Music app, disabling Wifi.

Country Romania.

I even contacted Apple Support, they had no idea about this..strange.

I see no error message, just the switch going back off by itself in a matter of seconds.

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.4

With that workaround (that took me ages and a lot of tries) is working from last night for me on iPhone 6 Plus. I managed that time to activate on iPad 2 but was not really syncronizing what I was saving on iPhone, like I had 2 different accounts. So I was annoyed (not in mood to search for same music on iPad too and save it) and I deactivate it. Just for curiousity I tried this morning and now a few times on iPad and I can't activate it again. Never worked for me on iTunes on imac 😟 I try a few times every day 😀 So issue is not really resolved. No news today from Apple support, probably this can take days (I hope not weeks or 3 months) to get fixed.

Short update everyone:

I just got off the phone with one of Apple's Senior Advisers and I've sent a bunch of diagnostics from all my devices (PC, iPhone, iPad), screenshots, videos with the setting not turning on...etc. She will get back to me in max 2 business days, after the engineers have a look over everything. So, one more properly reported case in their hands might put us one step closer to the resolution.

I'll keep you all updated and I've also told Lainie (the Senior Apple Adviser) that she's going to be a national hero if she helps us with this. LOL 🙂

This is what worked for me on my 5s:

In the Settings menu of the Music app do the following

1. Activate flight mode

2. Reactivate WiFi

3. Activate iCloud Music Library ( Genius should be deactivated before you begin)

4. Deactivate your WiFi really fast

5. If the iCloud Music Library is still on (with flight mode on and wifi off) restart your phone and enjoy


However this only worked for my iPhone. The PC version for iTunes does not sync with the playlists i create there with the playlists i create on my phone. So it's all kinda buggy atm.

It seems Apple doesn't really care about its Romanian users since I can also confirm iTunes in the Cloud is not available here. Case and point: accidentally deleted my purchased songs and was unable to download them for free. I had to resort to Apple Support to give me a special link where I could download all my purchased songs. When being asked when are Romanians going to have iTunes in the Cloud, the support rep told me to "convince as much people to write to Apple and maybe some engineers will notice". Seems to me that's exactly what has happened while reading this thread.
