I keep adding music to my playlists and more than 80% of the time it won't show up. I'll get the message that it's been added, but when I navigate to the playlist, it's not there.
Also, if I go to Music on another device (iTunes on Mac, iOS on iPad) the syncing doesn't appear to be working correctly either.
Anyone else having these issues?

I have the same problem on my iPhone 5s and iPad Air 2.
My workaround is to kill the Music app and then add a new song to the playlist. Works for me every time, at least for a while for sure.
I didn't have to add the song to my music before adding to a playlist.
What is misleading is that the Music app indicates the song has been added to the playlist, but it didn't,
I solved the problem by deleting the downloads that were damaged, and redownloaded them from iTunes.
Go to settings on your phone, music and check the thing that says add music to library when added to playlist then make a playlist add those songs
So I went into settings-music- turned off " optimise storage" and reset my device, BOOM problem solved music adding to playlist! Whoot!
