Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
An entire playlit wont sync to my phone and every time I try, this pop ups: "iCloud Music Library playlists can only include music from your iCloud Music Library. This playlist can’t be uploaded because it includes other media kinds or songs that are not eligible." It was working fine before. What should I do?
iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.4
For the newest update you have to click the song that's not eligible (once) then click File in the top left corner > convert > create AAC Version. Once you have done that it should make a duplicate, delete the old one, and then you should have one compatible with ICloud Music Library. If it doesn't start uploading to your phone, you may have to right click the song and press add to ICloud music library (I'm going off memory but it should say something along those lines).
the easy way to fix it is going old school. you need to deactivate "iCloud music library" on your iTunes and your iPhone, and violà you got all your library back the way it was before!
1). on your iPhone Go to Settings > Music, and turn off iCloud Music Library
2). on your Mac: From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose iTunes > Preferences and turn off iCloud Music Library.
i don't know how is it on windows but i guess it would be similar to the mac

But now, I cannot listen to that song on my phone. It says: ''Item Not Available. This item can't be played."

Its just amazing that apple does´t just let you drag and drop songs to your phone, and you HAVE to add them through the iCloud music library. its just another control freak move from Apple. I have a song that won't upload and i already tried changing into AAC that didn't work. This what i hate about apple their need for control. Its probably a way to avoid pirated music, i'm sure. but im a kid from the past i had napster. let me live.

Yeah this is ridiculous. I have a legally downloaded track from an artist's Soundcloud page that is 'not eligible for the iCloud Music Library'.
The track has a bitrate of 320 kbps and I tried converting to AAC through iTunes with no luck (went down to 256 kbps after the conversion).
The only thing I can think of is that the track is too long.. It's a 2:34:53 track but if I'm paying for iTunes match, there shouldn't be a max length.. That would just be silly, right?

It is probably because the file is too large. There is a 200 mb limit.

Ah, you know what.. that's it. The track in question is 293 mb. They should definitely raise that limit to 300 mb 😉

I have same error but related to purchased video. How can purchased video be non eligible for the iCloud Music Library. I purchased a few videos in iTunes and only one of them has this issue.
Help! When I right click the option Create AAC version is not available... I'm not sure what the heck is going on. 😟
