Music streaming slow for anyone else?

Since the first day, Apple Music streams (any song or station) have been incredibly slow. At first I assumed it was from high initial demand, but even now, most of the time the service is barely working for me. I'd estimate that 10% of the time things work perfectly, but 30-40% of the time songs can take 30 seconds to a minute to start playing, then they play choppy (as in not buffering enough). The other 50% of the time nothing even starts playing.

The obvious culprit might sound like my internet connection, but I can say that I don't have problems streaming online videos or Spotify – ever.

Restarting iTunes and my computer doesn't seem to improve the situation either.

Anyone else having issues?

Hi,

Same Problem Here! And now it is happening in all my devices, iPhone 6 and 4S, iPad 3, iMac and MacBook...

At first everything was OK... This issue has started for a couple of day ago.

My Internet is fast (100mb/s), and I verified that the TuneIn and Spotfy are working perfectly!

So definitely the problem is in the Apple Music!

Try signing out of your Apple Id across all of your Apple devices that you are signed in on, and then sign back in? This has helped me out with this.

Well, this seems to work for me, thanks. At least for now, holding breath...

I've been on the Google's DNS for some time, did not help me on itself.

came here looking for answers and all i found was more problems like im having! a lot of them too it seems....systemic one might say....yea so just tested preview streaming here in the US and Adelle Hello, the number one song right now here, streams instantly every time. I go to find some obscure techno i want, and it takes 5 min to hear a 1.5 min preview due to all the buffering stops. i would have though apple was better than this and wanted to always deliver a consistent product to everyone and be the cool brand, but i guess since steve jobs passed all they care about now are the investors and the interests of the major labels paying for higher levels of server access. no issues streaming previews ever on amazon, or even struggling little beatport. apple already lost my iphone business to an android conversion, is itunes the next? You would think that an apple employee somewhere would read these forums and bring the issue up at the next tech and ops meeting....obvious wishful thinking, since im sure the reality of it all is that they DGAF.

I am also having this problem. What a shame because Apple Music is almost unusable and hugely unreliable. All other streaming works fine, and this looks like an Apple problem. Apple support were more inclined to cancel my membership and provide a refund than look into the issue. They also promised to call back to see if the circumstances have improved, however they forgot. In this form, there is no point to Apple Music - what a frustration.

Whats your solution for this Apple?

Time to respond and offer a fix. Otherwise I want my money back!

You do realize that no one from Apple actually is allowed to respond here? While I am sure that they have people reading these forums, if you want a response you are better off contacting customer service.

In addition to a recent post I made here. I have tried signing in and out of my apple accounts on all devices, and unfortunately there have been no improvements to the streaming quality. Apple clearly have a problem here - and I am really wondering if they will get off their high horse and do something about it. Apple Music is far too unreliable, and there is nothing wrong with my internet speed or connection.

Ok I'm done here, three months trial expiring, so: good bye apple music (lower case, because there isn't any smaller case) and welcome SPOTIFY. Which I know is not flawless but it just do what it has to do. Too many problems with apple music: streaming, account, songs not available and then back, and many other ones, small and big which in all made my experience bad. So I have to pay for this? I tried what a user posted before about streaming: tried to play top charts songs and they are perfect and fast loading. So…

By the way this is not the only problem… so again: au revoir! Ciao!
