Music streaming slow for anyone else?

Since the first day, Apple Music streams (any song or station) have been incredibly slow. At first I assumed it was from high initial demand, but even now, most of the time the service is barely working for me. I'd estimate that 10% of the time things work perfectly, but 30-40% of the time songs can take 30 seconds to a minute to start playing, then they play choppy (as in not buffering enough). The other 50% of the time nothing even starts playing.

The obvious culprit might sound like my internet connection, but I can say that I don't have problems streaming online videos or Spotify – ever.

Restarting iTunes and my computer doesn't seem to improve the situation either.

Anyone else having issues?

Hi,

Same Problem Here! And now it is happening in all my devices, iPhone 6 and 4S, iPad 3, iMac and MacBook...

At first everything was OK... This issue has started for a couple of day ago.

My Internet is fast (100mb/s), and I verified that the TuneIn and Spotfy are working perfectly!

So definitely the problem is in the Apple Music!

Same here, getting really friking annoying now.

I'm in the UK, with a 80mb connection and I'd say 1 in 4 songs just won't load at all, and then the ones that do just don;t buffer and I get stop/start/stop/start playback.

Right now making me want to go Spotify and drop Apple Music, I'm paying for this service now!

Same problem here in Romania. When i click a song, it loads and plays 2-3 seconds, then stops for a couple of seconds, loads 2 more sec and so on. Listening to music is now the most irritating thing..

I've been having these issues with Apple Music from day one, and at first i thought the culprit was my ISP, although everything else worked perfectly (streaming, downloading). I've even upgraded my internet plan from 500 Mbps to 1000 Mbps, it worked fine for a while but then the problem returned. And now i realize i'm not the only one experiencing this.

If this persists, I'm cancelling my Apple Music subscription.

It was working fine for me (in the UK) until I upgraded to the new iTunes this week. I'm now having buffering issues and it's really annoying. If it's buffering then the music isn't playing as far as I'm concerned so I'm paying for something that isn't working. Seeing the number of people having this problem shows it isn't just my set up, so I will be cancelling my subscription and go back to Spotify.

It seems Apple with Steve Jobs is just another IT company trying to screw customers for money.

Same here in the UK...absolutely unusable on my Match subscription on BB and 3/4G. Am getting a tad p'd off with how slow and unreliable all of Apple's services are of late. I am trying to download all of my iCloud photos on to my Windows 10 PC with the latest iCloud control panel (which isn't compatible yet with Outlook 2016!) and they are coming in at 100kB/s - pathetic. Apple are becoming a joke.

Same problem here. Songs pause every few seconds as the stream catches up. Only way round it as far as I can tell is to manually download the albums you want to listen to. This problem has only occurred since updating iTunes yesterday.

Honestly it's one thing or another with this Apple Music service. First it was iTunes Match mismatching songs. Then there is a problem where Apple Music simply refuses to play certain songs (still not resolved). Now this. I'm willing to cut these applications slack for bugs and so forth but this software just doesn't play music properly. Say what you like about Spotify but I never had a problem actually playing music with it. You chose an album and it played from start to finish.

I feel like I'm permanently waiting for software updates from Apple at the moment in the hope that whatever current technical problem will be fixed.

And I have it too. But if you replay the same song right after the first time, it just goes smooth.

Strangely enough I'm noticing this much harder now in the latest Itunes update.

I'm going to open a ticket with Apple and I hope all of you do the same.

I'm missing quite some songs in Spotify but if they don't get Apple Music up to speed (literally and figural) I'm going back to Spotify and accpet I loose some functionalities in my car.

Well I just opened a support ticket and said I will call them back in my own time. Not gonna happen, but I hope this way they will get multiple reports of issues.

This the way how:

Go to the support pages and choose Itunes. Right below you will see: Apple Music Support. Then when that page is open click on the left side the green icon which sais: Contact support. I selected desktops and then the option: problem with streaming.

Hope this helps.

Same for me here in Italy: I experienced the streaming issue in iTunes 12.3.1 both at work on my iMac and at home on my MB Pro.

I've tolerated all the malfunctionings in Apple Music during the free trial, but now that I'm paying for the service I'm really ****** off, I think I'll move back to Spotify like many other users.

I'm not the "when-Jobs-was-alive-everything-was-different" kind of guy, but I can't really believe that Apple put out such a buggy service. Really sad.
