Where is shuffle songs on iPhone iTunes?

I don't see the first screenshot you posted. How did you get to that screen? My options are the top are Library and Playlists. When I click Library, it only shows me Artists. Do I have to import select songs or Albums (instead of Artists) now from my iTunes on my desktop to my phone for individual Songs to appear?

You need to start playing a song. Then the song will appear at the bottom of the screen, just above the status bar on the bottom. Tap on that, and you will see the song full screen.

It only shuffles the songs from that album. It does not shuffle all songs.

If you want to shuffle all songs, you have to change the listing from a single artist to the Songs list. You do that looking at My Music. Then in the center area, you will see Artists in red with a small arrow beside it. Click on that and select songs. Select the first song you want to play, then follow the steps I said earlier. That will shuffle the entire library.

I cannot see how to shuffle all songs. I look at My Music. There is no "Artists" in red with a small arrow beside it. The screen shows: Top Row: profile head icon; "My Music"; search icon. Middle Section: alphabetical list of authors. Middle Bottom Row: Play icon; Album/Artist/Song; ellipsis. Bottom Row: "My Music" which is red; "Playlists"; "Radio"; "Connect". There is no option anywhere to shuffle all songs across the entire library.

Tap on the arrow next to whatever is showing currently and that is how you sort the music....Artists, Albums, Songs, etc.

Go back to my original reply that was marked as solving the thread. There in the middle of the screen, more towards the top, you will see the word SONGS. There is where you would see Artists or one of the other choices. You need to set it to Songs, like it is in my post. Then begin a song, go to the currently playing song just above the bottom status bar and tap on that to get the full music screen. Then you will see the controls that Demo and I have selected.s

I've tried that, going to Songs and then using Shuffle icon. The thing is it doesn't stay, it will shuffle about 10 songs, I'll pause it and come back maybe an hour later or the next day and it's gone. I have to start over. Is there a way to Shuffle your whole library without starting over everytime?

I see how to shuffle all songs and songs on one album, but has anyone figured out a way to shuffle all the songs (on multiple albums) by one artist?

It's the shuffle I probably use the most and not having it stinks.

You can only shuffle songs by one artist if the artist only has 2 or less albums. If the have more, then you do not get the option to shuffle all songs unless you create a playlist with all the songs and shuffle it. One of the major changes many have found. You can provide feedback to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback and then go under OS X and iTunes to leave feedback about music.

Basically in the Music app, when you click "MyMusic"...

• Look for where it says "Artists" underneath "Recently Added"
• "Artists" is actually a pull-down menu (WHO KNEW)
• Change it to "Songs"
• Play a song
• Hit shuffle

Horrible UX, Apple.

I agree. Not a good update. I want to be able to go to my music, select an artist in which I have several albums, click shuffle and "ouala" my favorite artist shuffles. No idea why they made that change.
