Where are my iTunes Radio Stations?
Where are my iTunes Radio Stations? I used to have them on my iPhone right after I updated to the newer version of iTunes, but now they're gone.

You really expect a Community Specialist to able to answer an Apple policy question?
You're right, I made that comment in ignorance; I should have looked into what being a Community Specialist entails before I posted. I assumed they would be privy to reasons for various updates/changes. After all, it is the purpose that allows us to discern the meaning. If we are ignorant of the purpose of a decision, it is difficult for us to understand how it is meant to impact us. As a Community Specialist, I assumed he would have channels to ask the "why" questions. This was simply my conjecture, and had no grounding in reality.
Excellent point. I'd like to agree with the overall sentiment of this thread. I feel like part of my iTunes Match subscriptions beauty was a decent internet radio product that no longer exists in an acceptable form.
I would urge everyone to send this feedback to Apple. I just used this link and vented to them ... hopefully someone will listen at some point?
I agree with everything said here. My custom radio stations are gone and now you have a limited selection to replace them with. The "old" iTunes Radio is why I subscribe to Match. It seems like you now must also subscribe to Beats or Music or whatever the brand is. I won't be subscribing to Match any longer.
OK, I got it. You have to click the "Recently Played" link above the 8 or so last stations listed. If you do, you go deeper and it has all my stations there. So, it's all there after all.
I won't reiterate what everyone else has posted here. We're all experiencing the same shortcomings with the same frustration and disappointment. I believe a lot of us have spent thousands of dollars through iTunes to purchase music and a lot of those purchases started from exposure to music we 'discovered' through the radio and My Music stations. We're not looking for a bigger entertainment experience through DJs; also I don't think we are put off by the amount of advertising on the stations. Commercial radio stations haven't been delivering the goods for decades. But more importantly, I think we're all tired of being 'nickel-and-dimed' to death. Personally, I'm worn out - just trying to have an anchor in my daily life.
Unfortunate that after all the work put into customizing my stations and paying for iTunes Match I may have to crawl back to Pandora... which still has stations I created years ago.
LOL...silly to think that Apple actually listens to these forums. This is just a place to vent... therapy among users to validate that you have not lost your marbles.
It is silly to think that when the Terms of Use clearly state that this is a user-to-user technical support site. It also precludes venting so you got that wrong also. As another user posted here I clicked on recently used and all my stations were there. If yours weren't you must not have used them for awhile. I was never happy with iTunes Radio, it only allowed you 15 exceptions or your station no longer worked and the computer curating ****** at best. The one holdover I still listen to has gotten much better since the change and I'm not getting the horrible repetition.
Yes, recently used displays a list of recent stations, to include custom stations I set up prior to the update. Fact is, they had a feature that worked fine and removed it. Replacing it with a predefined list and the ability to create stations on the fly that may disappear over time versus allowing the user to 'own' their station and selections.
I chose the Apple solution as a nice alternative to Pandora and subsequently purchased the itunes match feature to enrich the experience. I liked the ability to customize my station and easily access it. That is now gone. Would certainly like to see it 're-appear'.
This thread has been viewed over 3200 times which implies plenty of other people have been confused by this move as well.
funny comment on the "terms of use" usually someone reads that as a result of not getting what they want or getting a raw deal prompting the person to thoroughly review the terms of surrender.
Station customization was the primary reason I subscribed. The ability to filter for discovery rather than popularity and to add remove and block tracks and artists made it a great product.
What $ucks (filtered? Why?) beyond loosing a great service is that I literally just renewed just before updating to the latest version on both PC and phone. I feel f**king violated and ripped off now. I just paid for a year to access features that no longer exist.
It would have made it a good product if it worked well.
This worked for me. Thanks Frisco
I'm staying on the old version of iTunes on my three Macs as well as 8.3 on my iPhone and iPad just to keep iTunes radio and I too have iTunes match.
Apple Radio isn't worth losing iTunes Radio over.
