iCloud status waiting???

I signed up for Apple Music (using the library off my wife's iMac because that one was much smaller than on my iMac). And aside from the metadata being changed everything seems working well (can see all the music and play lists on both iMacs and the one iPhone that I set up for Apple music so far).

Anyway, when I go to My Music and I have set up a column in the Songs listing to show "iCloud Status" I still have quite a few songs that say "Waiting".

Any ideas of how to get them moving? I have tried closing and restarting iTunes, have tried "updating the Library" and have tried restarting the iMac itself.

Thanks.

Just another followup in the saga. iTunes attempted to upload about 200 of my stuck "waiting" songs. They all changed status from "waiting" to "error".
I also just downloaded Father John Misty from SubPop's website. Brand new record form a major label. iTunes attempts to upload and everything changes to "error" or stays labelled as "waiting". All the tracks play great locally. I mean, these are all on itunes, so it should only need to match. Ridiculous.

Same here, half of my 10,000+ songs were either matched or uploaded initially, but I have hit the proverbial brick wall and have 3,800 stuck on 'waiting', I have tried all the suggestions found in this thread and others, to no avail. I'm currently waiting on call back from an apple support rep to hopefully solve this issue once and for all.

I had the same issue. I had to turn off iCloud Music Library and turn it back on a few times. Whenever you turn it off and back on again, it starts to upload the "Waiting" songs, but stops if you ever close out of iTunes. Basically you have to get all of them uploaded in one shot or else you'll keep having to turn Music Library off and on again when you want them to upload. It's annoying, but I got it to work

Update. Original iMac iTunes - after several times turning off and on iCloud Music Library - now shows no songs as "waiting". HOORAY!!!

However, on a second iMac - which has no actual music files - I set up a second iTunes Library with Apple Music and signing into the iCloud Music Library (both iMacs/iTunes use same Apple ID), that is still showing "waiting" for around 100 out of 22,000 songs. And I have tried turning on and off iCloud Music Library several times. I have also tried signing out of and back into my iTunes account.

And before anyone asks, the songs that are still showing as "waiting" on the second iMac do show and play perfectly on my iPhone 6.

I had a similar issue with certain tracks stuck in "waiting". What these tracks have in common is:

  • They are all from Apple Music, not previously in my iTunes library (e.g., I don't "own" them)
  • They were all imported to Apple Music from my old Beats account

I tried logging in/out of Apple Music, no change. But what did work was this:

  • Remove the offending album from My Music on any device (Mac, iPhone, etc.)
  • Re-add the album to My Music

Now everything works on all devices. My hunch is that some metadata got corrupted in the Beats -> Apple Music transition.

I am using iTunes 12.01 on a Win 7 machine. I get an arror about every 2 weeks and I have to re-login and re-sync my Itunes Match.

I have an iPhone 4s running ios 8.3.track

Every track all 13,000-ish is available on iCloud and plays on the phone fine. on Itunes, it says iCloud status is "waiting" for every track-all of them-purchased or not. So I downloaded a track from iTunes Store. Plays fine on iTunes and my phone-no issues-still says that new track's status is waiting.ta

Should I be concerned? I also am concerned if I turn off Itunes match that I may lose a lot of music. My guess is that the metadata has been

Hi all - sorry to boot this post up again, but I've tried all the steps and still have 1,500 songs (out of about 11,000) that will NOT change status. I've tried updating, unchecking the box, rechecking the box...the whole 9 yards. Those songs refuse to change from "waiting."

Any ideas?

I'm nervous about deleting and readding the tracks because of how finicky Apple Music is.

I never used iTunes Match (library much too big but larger issue for me was you could not sync music to your iOS device for off-line listening and also use iCloud Match), but I did set up Apple Music and the iCloud Music Library on my iMac (with a greatly reduced music library) and one iPhone so far. And while I did not have the issue of most of my music getting stuck "waiting", I did see about 200 out of 22000. Did try turning off and on the toggle for iCloud Music and eventually - after a few days - they all progressed (aside from about 10 songs, half were duplicates and the others I guess Apple had no clue what they were).

So perhaps patience (yeah, not a really good suggestion for me either) will work.

And no, turning off and on iCloud Music Library will not effect what has already been uploaded and available on your iPhone. (Can't say the same for iTunes Match as I never used it.)

Patience did solve the problem (something I think all of us Apple-fanatics need more of these days haha). I had to do the same thing you did, but I also had to delete some tracks that were either A: huge files (like hour + long in length) or were corrupted as mentioned in this and other threads. All to be said, it took about 24 full hours of leaving itunes open, checking it every 6, and trouble shooting it until it was all said and done.

Is there a way to tell if the waiting songs are about to get uploaded as opposed to it just stalling?

I have a large number that say 'waiting' and the wheel in the top right is spinning with the tag that it is 'matching my library to iTunes' but there is no visible sign I can see amongst that songs - I was expecting to see some action like a succession of songs flipping from waiting to uploading if anything was actually happening but I don't see that.

Should I just keep switching the iCloud music library off and on?

thx
