Itunes 12.2 - Repeat and Shuffle Artist

Hello,

After updating to itunes 12.2 on my macbook pro and ipad, I have been greatly disappointed with trying to listen to my music. I can navigate macbook pro and find the features I want, but have a lot of trouble with the "mobile" version that is on my ipad. I have avoided updating my ipod and will continue to do so if I can't solve these issues.

I want to shuffle and repeat one artist (all of their songs), but the buttons that were present on the previous version are no longer available to do so. They now have to be added to "Up next" which peeves me to no end. This is my main problem with this update.

When I play my playlists, they shuffle, but then play over and over again. How do I turn off the repeat?

There was a point when it said "make this song available offline" - does that mean that I have to be connected to listen to the music that I used to be able to listen without having to be connected? This seems like BS to me....

So, again I will state that I am greatly disappointed with this update - bring back the old itunes! I usually will just shrug off changes because they take time to get used to, but these seemed unnecessary to me. Why change something that seemed to be working just fine the way it was before? I only state this here with the hope that someone from Apple actually reads these and takes these problems into account.

Had this drama myself...

It seems to be now located under the CONTROL drop down tab.

Scroll down to SHUFFLE or REPEAT and choose away!

Unsure how it makes sense to move such an easy function to a drop down menu?

Anyway, There we go!

I found it on accident, I don't have an ipod or iphone but used to have a macbook pro so I know apple is pretty solid in it's software/reputation. Hope others can get this soon as it was quite frustrating for me!

the old ver. was way better!

you could easily:

• play all songs from one artist

• shuffle all songs from one artist

• shuffle album

• shuffle genre

ALL AT THE TOUCH OF A BUTTON (or two).

Easily and intuitively.

please please someone fix it!

I found this problem too, shortly after the update. What's going on with the developers? When something works and everybody is use to it why mess with it? I hope they change it back. Steve Jobs please help us.

Amen! One thing after the other keeps happening when I upgrade to
Windows 10, and then when I find that I can no longer play a downloaded book straight through. Never a problem until 12.2 in itunes. Windows 10 issues have cost me $150 bucks, as I am not totally geeky. Haven't yet found out how to turn off shuffle, or to play everything in my library in order. (I realize itunes and Windows are separate issues, but just saying -"Why do things keep getting worse in updates instead of better?)

So does this mean we can't listen to the entire playlist in order? We always have to hit the shuffle button and there's no way to listen to the entire list in sequence? I'm kind of lost what with that drop down arrow.

I'm wondering how I'm going to manage it in the car. I have my iPhone mounted and linked to my car stereo but now, if I understand correctly, I'll have to actually look at the phone if I want to hear another song? Sorry, I'm confused. 😟

I don't know why that's so difficult and annoying to find, but **** it is.

Now if ONLY I could get the stupid thing to work with my phone, that seems to ignore every way of asking it to shuffle.

From what I can see, no one in this post has provided an adequate answer because it appears iTunes no longer has the option to shuffle all the albums from one artist (On an iPad anyway).
