Hi,
I have an issue with playback pausing when the iPhone signal service changes. Even with downloaded songs. I will start playing tunes saved on phone when out in my car and it will randomly pause. I reckon this has something to do with phone signal changing as it doesn't happen with airplane mode on.
These are downloaded songs so surely this shouldn't happen?
Any solutions?

This happens to me on the subway as well, but only for music I have made available offline through Apple Music. When I enter a station that allows my phone to have a data connection (WIFI or Cellular), playback pauses. This does not happen with music I have previously purchased. The work-around I have been doing, is turning off cellular data and WIFI all together while on the subway. When doing this, the only time my music stops is when I get above ground and I turn my cell data back on.
I hope this fix this soon.
It’s 2017 and the problem still exists! My downloaded music from Apple Music pauses, restarts, jumps, etc. Have gone back to using my old Nano to manually download, play. Why is there no response from Apple on this problem?
I have the same issue with Apple Music but on Android (Galaxy S5). I'm done with Apple.
Cancelling Apple Music subscription and will try Spotify...
I'm actually having similar problems with Apple Music on my Google Pixel phone....... seems these problems are not restricted to iPhones....
