iPhone 6 touch screen problem

I'm having trouble interacting with my iphone 6 through the screen. I can use all the functions that involve my side volume and lock buttons. My home screen button works just fine as well. To reply to text messages or open an application though, I maybe have to hit the same letter or icon 20 times before it actually selects what i want it to and once it does, I have to touch the next letter or action the same amount of times. Some times I'll unlock my phone and can interact with it for maybe 15-20 seconds before my phone stops responding to my finger on the screen but most of the time it doesn't respond at all. Any suggestions?

Yes, but I asked them to check if it was working before changing it. it ended up working the whole time so they said it was the software "setting in". it worked for hours after that, in fact its working perfect right now. How ever it seems to happen at certain hours of the day its driving me crazy, first i make up my mind about replacing it and it decides to work, vise versa. Im weary about taking the replacement tomorrow morning, because of how well its working now.

My watch is paired back up, location services are working, find my iphone is good, and no phantom typing yet. if its gone by tomorrow i may hold out for the update.

Does anyone tried to disable Location Services?

After the full recover I've enabled everything back but my full backup. Right after I take some shots with the camera app (and right after it ask me to have access to my location), the phone screen starts to act strange, and not responding to my touch at all.

Yesterday I disabled the Location services and everything went fine. I am about to recover the Backup made before the recover to see if there is another thing influencing my touch screen issue.

Can any of you try the same and check if the phone is back to normal?

Don't forget to restart your phone after disable Location Services.

I have tried multiple combinations and then with everything off and airplane mode on. About 10 times. After turning everything off and restoring/upgrading It seemed to act up with Bluetooth and location services the most, for me. Then for some reason after restoring a few times with locations settings and Bluetooth off it seemed to help a lot. But it would still occasionally freeze. Good luck man

Hi

I've done a system restore which seems to have resolved the problem (at least for now). HOWEVER, A WORD OF WARNING...

Apple's support pages have quite a few - and often contradictory - pages on backups and restores. I made the mistake of using the following page from their 'main menu' under 'Support', and I really regret it:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Supportand How to back up your devices using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support

What these pages DON'T tell you is that photos may or may not be saved in the backup. Some have been 'restored', many haven't. I've also lost all Messages (in spite of Apple's official advice being that Messages are indeed copied, but again I've since found that there are contradictory statements from Apple on this). I've also lost many emails, but again, not all.

I'm sorry to say this, but Apple really has become the new Windows - buggy and unreliable.

UPDATE - actually, the restore didn't help, the problem has come back and is gradually getting worse. Following Apple's own advice to do a backup and restore, I have lost holiday photos, important emails and text messages and it has all been for nothing. All because Apple don't seem able to test software updates properly or provide accurate advice.

Let's hope 8.5 comes very soon and resolves this.

This has nothing to do with software testing, all this shows is that you did not read nor advice the information on Backup Strategies very well. If it were a software issue then would not most users be complaining or reporting it and not just a handful in a troubleshooting forum, many who have fixed their issues?

Had the same issue with my iphone 6 64GB, Champagne Gold.

Touchscreen just went crazy on the 11th month of usage: unresponsive on swipe, wrong app activated, keyboard did not work, and all kinds of crazy touches registered. Was also facing fingerprint sensor unresponsive issue.

Tried resetting the phone, clean the screen, reset all settings but none of these works.

Sent the phone to my local Apple dealer in Malaysia. After 2 days of diagnosis, they decided to replace another set for me FOC. No question asked. Lucky it was still under warranty. Have to go through the trouble to resetup my phone now.
