Why do I only have a one month free trial of Apple Music?

Other people have 3 months but I only have 1 month.

Having now tried the recommended workaround of Family Sharing, I can't get access to Apple Music from the second device. Any idea what I need to do?

I recently joined apple music where I was told that I would be getting apple music for 3 months free of cost but I just got for a month
