iOS 8.4 battery drain
I seem to be witnessing a drastic battery drain after the update to iOS 8.4. It's pretty bad, but I don't see anyone else talking about it.

You really like shouting into empty air? Apple isn't here, and won't hear you.
What troubleshooting steps have you done? How much of this thread have you read? There are lots of suggestions on how to resolve the problem in the thread.
charged up full - charged down,, deleted a bunch of apps, hard reset -- this wasn't happening before the update,, my phone drains 1% per minute this is abnormal
When you go to Settings/General/Usage and tap on Battery usage, which apps are using the most energy?
Mine is that new Apple Music program - which I don't even use. I have the same problem and it didn't resolve with that last little update, either.
Since the iOS update I lose fingerprints every time I plug into the USB line, open iTunes and do an update of third party Apps I use and want.
I tried tossing away all the Apps that I want and use .. leaving only the Apple Apps that can not be turned off nor deleted just to see how that would work.
Android has the same issue with their Apps, goes with their Android OS install and can not be deleted (they say it can be 'disabled' every one of them, but that do not mean turned off as they are constantly updated when ever you allow that to happen).
I am NOT updating any more .. until the phone calls and text messages go to heck.
As long as that works .. no updates.
Verizon (it is the one I picked as the iPhone is factory unlocked for that carrier apparently) always has me using the minimum amount of download of data (unlimited phone and unlimited text) .. however despite me NEVER downloading anything over the iPhone .. some how I use just about 500 MB of data allowance.
All coming from the Apple Apps .. as they are the only ones around. (forget turning off 'Cellular' ... it won't work as advertised for the Stock App and the others of course).
Verizon NO longer sells a 500 MB minimum calling plan for $60 .. they say.
I was in their office yesterday getting my Verizon plan updated for a discount on monthly costs.
Anyhow .. the lowest plan Verizon goes now is 1 GB of download a month at $70 a pop .. as you are going to do it with the iPhone 6 for some reason since they can see the future better then any one. This is getting close to $1000.00 a year just to operate a smart phone that took me 100 days of learning to turn everything off that the factory install says has to be 'On'.
And forget about turning it off in the Settings ... that do not work.
Since the update .... ONE 5 minute phone call will plow through 50 % of the battery power.
So .. no more updates for me.
I just deal with a Red Number 1 attached to my 'Settings' Icon on the first page .. in a few more weeks might be a Red Number 2 up there I guess.
iPhone wants me to know that there is an update for me to have ... that is no update at all as nothing gets fixed.
I stopped sniveling to Apple about it as there is no fixing it (not even the Genius Bar can fix it) ... and for me .. I am just glad it was $149 for my iPhone and not more.
Big turn off to me ... and the last iPhone for me.
Of course .. no Android either .. same Goyim engineering and just as expensive.
I want to text message and do 911 emergency calls ... and can do it way cheaper then this with out the headache to boot.

Instead you snivel about it here to other users, where no one really cares what you do. Don't you have better things to do with your time?

If that is all you want to do with a phone, you probably have the wrong phone. You need basic phone and a plan that doesn't have any data. Cheaper for you, less annoying for us.
Go to setting sign out icloud, sign out apple store and go to music turn off show apple music. It helps me alot but you also disabling find my iphone by siging out icloud. I finish charging at 9am by 4pm 40% now by doing all the above still have 70%. Tell me if it works.
Sent from my iPhone
Jack, this has helped quite well! my battery is lasting again. đ
Yup .. helping my battery life as well ... inhales orally to lose the find my iPhone with 20 million criminals who want to take these things over the border illegally where it is big business and the law can not touch them.

You really should consider posting in your native language. This makes even less sense than usual.
I have continued with turning Apps 'OFF' in the Settings ... after turning off the 'Find My iPhone'.
I set the iPhone down at 10 pm with 100% battery and wake up at 6am to 86 % .. which is over 1.4 % an hour just for standby mode while it is sleeping in dark screen with this iOS update.
Not turning off the iPhone keeps the fingerprint ID around longer ... turn off the iPhone and turing it on again after overnight non use .. in the turn on guarantees that the fingerprint ID will be lost.
Oddly enough it is always #2 and #3 fingerprints that go all the time right now such as when I use iTunes to update an App which the doing guarantees the loss of fingerprint ID .. #1 sticks around even from that effort.
So all Apps that I can are turned off .. such as 'Open Table' or 'CARR' or 'Around Me' or 'AAA' or 'Verizon' etc .. I turn off 'Cellular Data' ...
I just went down the whole list in and turned them off.
If I need these Apps I can always turn them on first in 'Settings' and then have 'plug and play' use that makes Apple Products so much fun to have around.
Deleting the Apps that I am authorized by Apple to delete .. makes no difference what so ever.
The Apps that I am NOT authorized by Apple to delete ... turning them off in 'Settings' makes no difference what so ever as they do not turn off.
Tuning off iCloud for the Find My iPhone ... is a big help so I am not tethered to a power supply which is what my copper wire Land Line phone is all about and it WORKS ... when the power goes down and I have an emergency.
The purchase of a new iPhone .. like the 6s in September when they are to be released is $1000 a year to run on contract ...
and I can spend that kind of big money elsewhere.
I turned off my Cable TV service that costs $1000 a year ... and I am much better and richer for it.
$2000 a year between the two ... is a lot of play money for me.
Good thing I got the 5s when I did at $149 about 120 days ago ... it being a lot cheaper to run on Verizon back then and as they also give discounts.
So it doesn't hurt that much to have this iPhone ... and in another 20 months I am off contract where if the iPhone is still working and not stolen I will get Verizon to drop the service cost even more.
I am just waiting for my 5s to eventually die .. and then get a cheaper cell phone for calls and texting that is not a bad apple to have around.
Affording a new iPhone like the 6s after having the real experience of this one .. is something I won't do .. nor recommend it to my friends unless they are in the Stock Market then they can afford an iPhone as they are making $100,000 + a year...
and have the constant Stock Market connection that is worth their time and the high cost of upkeep.
There is a silver lining in this cloud of gray ...

Apple admits iphone batter flaw and offers free fix
see full article here
Scroll to the bottom and see this:
Is my iPhone eligible for a new battery?
Go to the Settings app on your phone - the icon is grey and has an image of cogs on it. Within the app go to the "General" tab, then "About" and scroll down to see your serial number. You can copy it by pressing and holding on the number, then go to Apple's recall page and see if your handset is eligible.
http://https://www.apple.com/support/iphone5-battery/
Going to Apple Support (URL above) and it lists all the recall and replacements programs that are enforce for every product that has problems not just the iPhone ... and my serial number is not included as they purport that I have the good battery that was already replaced before being sold to me.
It is concrete in my mind .. that the new iOS update is the problem and the solution.
Unfortunately there is no going back to the older iOS that worked just fine and did not have the 'new' look to iTunes App and other such enhancements that did not improve Phone calls or Text message one iota.
Unless the Telegraph is reporting something that Apple Inc ... is not.
I will keep checking of course .. as I am hoping to make this bad apple a good apple.
Have those Hiiiiii Apple PIE in the skyyyyyy hopes !!!

Why don't you plug it in at night while you're sleeping? It would probably solve your problem.
