iTunes Won't Play any songs from Apple Music

When I add music to "My Music" it adds OK but when I attempt to play any songs it never loads a song and then immediately skips to the next one etc... I can stream the same songs on the iOS app fine and iTunes plays any local files fine too. If I attempt to make any songs available offline then I get a "400 Error"... What can resolve this?

I tried changing my DNS and restarting my computer and none of it worked. After signing out of my Apple music account in iTunes and signing back I was able to fix the issue. Hope the same works for you if you're having this problem.

I too am now finding that Apple Music no longer works for me. It worked fine a few days ago, but now it will only play the occasional song.

It's the same on both Iphone and Itunes for Windows - cannot play any itunes music songs most of the time. It seems to like playing songs that are "top picks" that are in the suggestions list, but if I search for anything that I actually want to play, it won't play it.

I also noticed that it has now classified some offline tracks that I downloaded into Itunes as "Matched" even though I don't own them.

So I too have been frustrated by this issue. After reading through the tips here, I think i found something that is at least working right now for me on my iPhone 5S. Go to your WiFi settings, tap the info thing on the WiFi connection and then tap on the address under DNS and change it to 199.85.126.10. Then completely power your phone down, then power it back on, and hopefully it should work.

If your music is displayed in iTunes as if it should play but then skips until the end of the playlist in rapid succession and everything worked fine before updating to Windows 10, chances are that your sound card driver is Realtek High Definition Audio and its version is something below 6.0.1.7544.

You may check and update directly from Windows audio driver settings. For that open Sound properties, find the device which you are currently using, on the general tab go to controller information / properties, open tab Driver and check the version. If its below 6.0.1.7544, click on the button Update Driver, select update online and wait for the magic to happen. Afterwards, restart your computer (you may try with just restarting iTunes). So, all I can say, this worked for me perfectly.

Updating the driver version this way may also help for above problem with other vendors besides Realtek.

BTW: This solution works also for Spotify. ;-)

BTW2: In general it proved very safe to ignore any "tips" like logging out/in again, reinstalling iTunes oder restarting your computer without prior doing anything else. It just won't work. Anyhow, these crap keeps turning up since - well, ever. It's a pity...

After I enjoy two days of Apple Music I now have the problems as the above friends...Apple Music doesn't played back the songs from the list or the album on my Mac and iOS device. The radio is working well. I tried different way include log-out and re-login the iTunes account, reboot the computer, reboot the Wi-Fi, change the DNS...all failed.

I contacted the local apple music specialist yesterday and he told me they also had such problems sometimes. It shall something wrong with the network or the Apple server.

It looks we can do few things to fix it just hope Apple can do it.

I've got this problem on my Mid - 2014 Macbook Pro 15" w/Nvidia GT 750M Graphics processor. When playing songs from Apple Music I'm presented with a message stating: The song "..." cannot be played because you are not signed in to Apple Music.

However, when I remove the download of a song it streams fine and after re-downloading it it plays fine. I've restarted iTunes and it is still working, whilst tracks that I've not re-downloaded are presenting the same message upon attempt to play them. I'll restart OSX and see if that causes any issues.

Maybe reports of this working or not working for anyone else would help others troubleshoot the issue.

I'm not entirely sure where to look to see my current version of iTunes. Common sense says in 'About iTunes', there it says: iTunes 12.3.0.44. I'm also presently running OSX 10.10.5 with plans to update to El Capitan in the near future.

Cheers,

Angus

Apple Music has generally been working for me but recently it seems to be getting worse and worse on Retina MacBook Pro and iMac. The MBP seems a lot worse than the iMac, which is running OS 10.7 (the latest it will run), against the MBP running 10.11.1. I have a reasonably fast connection at 40mb/s. Now tracks are very slow to start and then stop to buffer after a few seconds. I have Little Snitch Monitor but not running in active mode. However it does not show much input coming in on the up/downstream meter, at down in the low kB/s and I can on fast sites, see up to 3mB/s. I wonder if Apple is having a bandwidth issues in the UK. Changing the DNS addresses made no difference for me. I use Namebench to find my best DNS addresses. In today's world, switching off one's virus/malware and firewall protection seems like an exceedingly bad idea.

I switched from Qobuz to Apple Music while Qobuz was struggling and a lot of the albums had been withdrawn by the publishers but I am wondering if I should change back. The service I have at the moment from Apple is not worth paying one penny for let alone their monthly fee.
