Cloud Music Library not responding

I'm trying to listen to some new artists that I've searched for in the 'new' tab in iCloud on my mac and get the following error message:

The shared library “Cloud Music Library” is not responding. (503)

Check that any firewall software running on either the shared computer or this computer has been set to allow communication on port 443.Cour

iTunes store samples and music on my mac are all playing fine, it's just everything that is streaming and it won't let me add the music either. I've not changed any settings and all is working fine on my iOS devices. Any ideas?

From what I see here, I should be patient, and wait a while...

It's mostly just ******* me off at this point that they still say there's nothing happening, and on their updates page it says this issue was fixed hours ago. I've been having it all day, it was never fixed for me.

I did fully sign out of everything and resigned in, and for a minute it was almost updated (just missing the most recently added album) and running - I was even able to play a song that's only in my Apple Music. But after a few seconds it all putzed out again and I'm getting the same error.

Everything is still working fine on my iPhone, it's just my Macbook that's fritzing.

Hey pal, sorry! I just saw your reply.

So on their system updates page, they noted that there was an issue with the iTunes store, said to be connected with Apple Music/Cloud services. (timeline in PST)

And here's an article about the outages. Apparently, it's been happening quite a bit, and it's all iCloud related services that are really affected.

Thanks for the update! I usually check AppleInsider daily but all I checked today was 9to5 Mac and I didn't see an article there. I just got off the phone with Apple Support and they mentioned there was a server issue as well. Good to know it's not on our end! 🙂
