Is W10 a clean install or an upgrade from a previous Windows version? Was the install using BC Assistant?
Hi Loner T, Thank you for your reply. Yes, Windows 10 is a lean install using BC Assistant. I have the same problem with Windows 8.1 on my Macbook. I install on EFI Boot. How to fix? Thank you again.
Your Mac does not support EFI Boot. You need to use BCA and let it choose the installation, without any interruptions till you see the screen for choosing a Windows destination partition.
Are you using a USB or a DVD to install Windows? If USB, please ensure that it is a USB2 device.
I use USB to install windows. Yes, This is an USB 2.0. How to choose BIOS Boot instead of EFI Boot when installing?
After BCA restart Macbook, It has error " No Bootable Device - Insert Boot Disc and press any key" and I can't continue the installation. Please help me 😟
Please post the output of
sudo fdisk /dev/disk0
BCA failed to create an MBR for your Mac. Please download GPT Fdisk http://sourceforge.net/projects/gptfdisk/ and I will give you the steps to create the appropriate MBR.
Done. How to create the appropriate MBR? I hope Macbook can boot form USB (without error :"No Bootable Disc,..) to continue the installation.
Done, Loner T. But patition 4 is not like the sample. Now can I continue the installation?
Yes, please.
Please post the output of
sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0
sudo fdisk /dev/disk0
