Open your music app, make sure you are in "My Music" ( bottom left corner)

Then in the middle of the screen in red it might say "artists" or "albums" with a little down arrow next to it. Tap on it to select "Songs"

Open any song, the player would pop at the bottom, tap to go into the player

now just like the older versions, tap on the shuffle icon on the bottom

Hope I solved you problem 🙂

Regarding the reply of Eric,

your tip is wonderful ("Look for a small Pause Icon on the left side. Swipe the icon up to reveal the player.") Who could ever figure this out? I used to hear music while driving. It was impossible to switch a song (not all fit to the actual mood) while driving. Now I know to reveal the player before I start.

Your answer helped me a lot.

Thank you so much

iPhone 6, 10.1.1, I do not even have a shuffle icon on the mini-player. Same song plays over and over. I have to click the "next" arrows to get new song. Happens in all views-songs, playlists, etc. GRRRRRR At top of each view, I can click on Shuffle All, which does absolutely nothing. COULD YOU PLEASE FIX THIS, APPLE??????? Double GRRRR
