Upgrading OS in an Imac

What is the most current OS I can upgrade my Imac to? Any suggestions, advice is welcomed

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 3.06 GHz Intel core i3. 4 GB RAM

At least Yosemite. Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and download it from the Mac App Store.

Anyway,

Unless the Printer specifically says its compatible with a Chromebook, I don't believe you will be able to use it with one.


If you bought the iMac in early 2007, it would still be a late 2006 model. The model years change only when they release a new version. So if they had not released a new version, you were buying a current one, but it was one released the year before.


As Babowa points out, your Mac is 9 years old, its about time you start thinking about replacing it. As it will just get harder and harder to get compatible items for it.


The Refurbished section is a good place to get deals for Macs.

Other than that, moving to a PC after using a Mac for so many years may be a little more jarring than expected.
