When using when I try to manage my Apple ID: I get prompted with this message:

To access My Apple ID, you must use a supported
browser.

Please download and install the latest version of Safari.

I can tell that this is not a popup ad or another site. I cannot access Appleid.apple.com without being re-directed to https://appleid.apple.com/download-safari

After clicking download, it brings me to http://www.apple.com/safari/ . There is no download link on that page. I have a Windows laptop with IE and have been able to do this before with no problem. Is this new?

Thanks,

-Ethan

What were you doing when you say this message? Log in? Changing you Apple id? Browsing the forums?

For some reason the ASC software found an error. ASC put up a generic message. Typically a site would assess your browser capability and decide whether or not your browser would work for it's web site. Something went wrong with this assessment. The software is throwing you off by saying move the latest version of Safari.

The easiest solution would be to move to another browser when you get the space.

Ok, that link you give doesn't go to https://appleid.apple.com/. It really goes to https://appleid.apple.com/download-safari

Here is the html:

<a class="jive-link-external-small" href="https://appleid.apple.com/download-safari" rel="nofollow">https://appleid.apple.com/</a>

Does this path work for you? It worked for me. [ Firefox 38.0.5 running under Fedora 22 ]

https://appleid.apple.com/

Then click on manager your apple id button.

Okay so this is what I have so far:

My memory stick is nearly full, but still has 2.23 GB of space left. The only things eating space are programs that are too big to be transferred there. I have OneDrive, but do not trust it and I think I may try to download Google Chrome or Firefox to my stick and see if that works.

But, I have found something else. My browser must be supported because if I click in the spot where the "Manage your Apple ID" link is multiple times, then in the split second it appears on the screen I am prompted to log in with my email and password. But if I click "Sign In", I am brought back to the same page (again seeing my information for a split second).

At this point, I probably should just install Chrome and see what happens. Which is what I will do.
