I see so many people confused about Boot Camp 6.

Apple has released Boot Camp 6 as new drivers to be installed in Windows, in case you have got Windows installed alongside OS X on your Mac. This means that Boot Camp 6 cannot be downloaded from the Mac App Store, because it is not an update designed to be installed in OS X.

Instead, you can download Boot Camp 6 through Boot Camp Assistant (in /Applications/Utilities) when you want to install Windows on your Mac, or when you want to upgrade a Windows installation to Windows 10 (in this case, just boot up in Windows and run Apple Software Update to install Boot Camp 6). In other words, if you do not have Windows installed, forget about Boot Camp 6 because it is not for you.
