Using an iphone 6+, how do I forward an existing text message to an email address?

Tap and hold the message. Then choose "More ..." from the pop-up. Then click the right-facing arrow (forward arrow) in the lower right. Type the email address in the "To" field on top and send the message.

Thanks for the advice sberman, unfortunately your solution just creates another copy of the text message within the messing app, it does not forward the desired text message to an email address.

However, Mr. Black's advice was correct.
