My built-in keyboard and trackpad not working

Yeah, I bought new ribbon cable, and replace it. Works well now. 62$ for all new ribbon cable and repair cost

Another problem can be temperature. Is your laptop cold? Warm it up to room temp and try again. This is how I solved exactly the same problem mentioned above.

Hi thanks for replying the strange thing about my mac book is the keyboard is allowing me to log in but once I have logged in ot them stops responding was this the same for you ? Thanks again

Thanks, Johnny. Unfortunately my warranty has expired. But if I need to take it in for service, I'll add this to the list. In the meantime, I'm using a nice economical mouse.
