Have you tried a reset by holding down the power and home buttons for 15 seconds?

I'm so glad to find other people having my issues. It means I'm not crazy! I can't play Apple Music, download apps, access certain settings, and my podcast app crashes all the time! I've tried resetting/restoring and, when it doesn't cause my phone to freeze, it only works for ten minutes or so! I'm gritting my teeth and baring it becasue IOS 9 is around the corner but, sheesh! This is atrocious.

My issues are similar. Phone all the time glitches or sleeps the internal radio making it loose all wireless connections. No Cellular data network, no WiFi. Scanning for either yields no results. Soft reset sometimes brings it back for minutes / an hour or so. If you keep using it like streaming music or something it stays on. But if you turn off the screen and close all the apps and put it in your pocket for a while when you go to check something later you will see 'No Service' and have no connection on any data link. Just started today when I finally relented and did the update. Wish I would have read up on it first now. >:( but I hadn't heard any scuttlebutt about it being a 'break your phone' update so I went ahead and did it. BIG MISTAKE. I just came back to Apple (haven't had an iPhone since the 3GS) from Android / Sony and really expected a higher level of troubleshooting and pre-checking of updates from the likes of Apple who has what.... 3 viable models to troubleshoot the software on ?? If this is the average apple users experience I'll be Heading back over the fence to Android land. sad face 😟

Of course it is not.

Instead of considering yourself a victim (which you are not), consider what you might be doing to cause such behavior. Examples:

  • Your storage may be overloaded (check Settings > General > Usage > Manage Storage)
  • You may be using a bad app.
  • Your apps may not have been updated.

If you think you'll be better off using Android, by all means go for it.

uuum I'm not a neophyte and well know how to manage my phone. Nothing I'm doing is causing this problem. T-Moble has reset it and claimed it was some sort of Network ID problem that cropped up during the upgrade. So actually I AM A VICTIM of shotty software debugging. EXACTLY AS I FIRST STATED. The phone works again, so great. Objectively though all the fanfare showered on Apple and the iPhone is so much hot air. The 6 has a very good camera and takes great video, OK. However there are less manual controls than other model phones with high end cameras. Siri is not nearly as accurate in finding relevant search results as Google voice search. Apple maps...well no need to bring that fiasco up...Google crushes it. Trying to select a particular spot within text for a spelling edit or adding a word for example is clumsy and highly inaccurate requiring several tries to get the cursor where you want it. The display is great but is matched or bested by Samsung and Sony both. The size & shape of the 6 is just about perfect I would say, so that I appreciate. Superfast charging is also a big plus. As a piece of hardware its as good as some of the best and is elegant, durable and stylish. I just have a problem with Apples closed ecosystem and the way they try to dumb everything down or remove options from a great many apps because they feel being able to tweak this or that is not necessary for the average user. Anyway it's all corrected now but frankly I was just expecting more from the oh-so swoonable iPhone6. That's all.

SO it Looks like although 8.4.1 triggered these issues, it was in fact a HARDWARE issue. It was my replacement iPhone 6 that was acting up. After all the troubleshooting that both myself and Apple care did, there were no fixes, including. A full restore and starting from scratch. So, Apple graciously replaced the defective hardware and iOS 8.4.1 although not perfect...is running quite well.

PLease stop stop trolling and arguing with each other as these forums are to help everyone have these issues find a resolution!

Thanks!
