Alchemy in Logic, some tips

Here are some tips I just discovered after checking the new Alchemy in LogicX:

Concerning 3rd party libraries:

The new location for Alchemy presets (acp files)

Library (not user)Application Support/Logic/Plugin Settings/Alchemy

So if you own libraries for Alchemy version 1, just drop the entire library folder there with the presets (acp files) then hit refresh in the Alchemy browser. There is no need to move the sample content from version 1 libraries, as the sample path is stored with the old presets. That saves 5 years of my own sound design work, time to party!

Alchemy 2 - this one is quite beautiful:

Additive re-synthesis - multi-sampled bass flute swells in A meet multi-sampled trombone swells in B, element morphing via 2 Performance Controllers, timbre morphing in each source via 4 dedicated LFOs can be dialed in for each source independently, so can formant modulation, some FM synthesis applicable in F2, and more... - organic synthesizer sounds at their best - Alchemy 2 amazes me more and more, the deeper I dive into it.

Improvising in a first pass, adding snapshot morphing in a second pass - 100% Alchemy 2:

The more I spectrally re-synthesize and morph in Alchemy 2, the more I am amazed about the sonic results which can be achieved.

Two finalized patches with spectrally re-synthesized, multi-sampled instruments (e-bowed acoustic guitar strings/flute repetitions) in a harmonic improvisation.

Short descriptions:

Acoustic Ebow Spectral - Spectrally re-synthesized e-bowed acoustic guitar with sizzling strings, 3 multi-sampled, zone-crossfading sounds in each source (A/B).

Spectral Flute Texture - Spectrally re-synthesized flute repetitions, 2 samples with different route notes in A/B, element morphing is performed by 2 LFOs, Perf. 2 adds tempo-synced formant modulation.

Improvised the chord progressions with the guitar patch in a first pass, added some flute in a second pass, then added snapshot morphing for each patch in 2 more passes.

...and...

Video and audio demos for Stick Cello Synth - using re-synthesized multi-sampled stick cello accents, spectral re-synthesis in A, additive re-synthesis in source B, a very playable and versatile instrument sounding anything between a guitar, sitar, organ, synth pluck, woody percussion and whatnot. Morphing through the 8 snaps on the fly:

A video for the Alchemy 2-patch Morphing Witches. from Resurrection Morphing through the snapshots manually after recording the Midi notes beforehand.

Short patch description:

Spectrally re-synthesized vocal artists, a long sample divided into 4 segments in 4 sources with auto-element-morphing applied (root note: C3, sounds best below F3), separate controls for spectral and formant morphing (P1/2), morph-speed controls (P5/6).

I'll add this to the thread, as I think a lot of people are still seeking quality resources for Alchemy in Logic. http://www.sound-freqs.com/alchemy-masterclass-video-series

SoundFreqs released this masterclass course earlier this year and contains everything you ever wanted to know about Alchemy, Rated 5 STARS by users over at Loopmasters and is also available via streaming or direct download. You won't find a more complete bundle of resources for Alchemy anywhere.

Testing the improved spectral re-synthesis in Alchemy/Logic 10.2.3 with some multi-sampled cello swells from one of my sample libraries live on video, it sounded good before and sounds better now, the advantages of spectrally re-synthesized multi-sampled instruments are numerous compared to sampled instruments, so much one can do with it in Alchemy 2 to substantially alter and mutate the sound - great stuff!

Please help me locate those 200 original Alchemy presets (.acp) that play in Alchemy Player v1.55.... Re-installed the old Alchemy to access a couple of fantastic presets here that not show up in Logic Alchemy 2.0s 3100 presets....unforunately :-/ But strangely enough, I just cannot locate those .acp files. Got lots of folders in the Camel Audio folder under Application Support, but none of them seem to contain the preset files. Any tips?

In advance - thank you.
