does apple record support phone calls?

Try calling David and telling him upfront that you intend to record the call and see what happens.

There you go again. Please read my message and digest it before you comment. As I stated, I called David this morning. He is in another State. As usual he answered with "This is David xxxx at xxxx on a recorded line, how may I help you Mr. xxxx”. My credentials had already been punched in. I said, "Hi David... I also would like to record this conversation". After receiving his approval I turned my recorder on and then I stated “For the record this is xxxx on the phone with David xxxx at xxxx who has agreed to this recorded conversation, is that correct David? After the Yes we proceeded. Nothing "surreptitious" about that, here in Texas or otherwise, his consent was explicit and recorded. That is how it works for me with the type of account I have at xxxx. Like I said, perhaps the size of the account makes a difference. You obviously have a different banking relationship with Chase and First Bank. I don't deal with them. Have a good day.

So are you advising the OP (without the benefit of knowing where he is located) to record the call, yes or no?

I suspect we may have scared off the OP. It is quite possible that the OP will have a perfectly pleasant experience with Apple and this will all become irrelevant. However, the OP now has the benefit of a variety of different opinions and can decide what level and what type of risk they are willing to take.
