Hi everyone!
So, I still have the good, old Windows Vista and I can't update my iTunes anymore because of my too old software. So what can I do when I just updated all my devices to iOS9 but they are no more compatible with my iTunes anymore because iOS9 REQUIERS the newest iTunes 12.2?😕
I'm not gonna buy new software because someone forgot about people who doesn't change their
Windows-software every year.ðŸ˜

I just ran into this same issue....my iPhone updated to iOS 9, and immediately caused iTunes to popup a window saying the phone can't be accessed because it requires iTunes 12.2.2 or later....yet that version won't install on my Windows Vista PC?? So now my phone is prevented from connecting to iTunes....Apple, you need to fix this!
Well, it did not help, same problem as before.
iTunes runs with 50% CPU after clicking on the iPhone-icon and nothing happens.

Got the same issue now with iPhone 7 and iOS10. Dont suppose you are aware of any links or have the same issue still?
If you have a PC running Windows 7 or higher, then install iTunes 12.5.1 for iOS 10 support. Vista is no longer supported, and iTunes 12.1.3 cannot even support an iPhone SE running iOS 9.
I have an iPhone 7 and the same issue. Just called Apple Support and they confirmed that there is no fix planned for Vista users! Gutted .... their advice was ....go to an Apple store and feel free to use their Mac's for my iTunes which is all very well but that's a 2 hours round trip for me 😟
You no longer need iTunes to activate an iPhone, and you can backup and restore with iCloud. A subscription to iTunes Match would allow you to match/upload your personal music, then download it to the device over wi-fi.

any chance you can do this again for ios10?
From what I've seen so far iOS10 can sync with iTunes 12.1.3.6 (although possibly not wirelessly) but it cannot be used to restore or upgrade a device, and it won't work with iPhone SE or 7.

Did anyone update to iOS 10.0.2 over the air and were you able to sync?
I know 10.0.1 works that way but am unsure about 10.0.2.
