"Remove from Recents" missing from iOS 9 mail

Great that this feature has finally been added back!

Does anyone know if there is a way to delete all unsaved contacts in one go?

I don't think you can delete recently used addresses "in one go". I started with A and worked my way through Z, deleting all unnecessary emails one by one.

OK, so the 'remove from recents' may have been restored in ios 9.1, but I am now on iOS 9.2. I cannot find any way to delete from recent sent email list, so have they removed the feature yet again in this latest version?

Anyone else noticed this ?

I checked my iPad 4 IOS 9.2 and still have the ability to delete recents. Try giving your iPad a quick reset. Press and hold both the hom and power buttons until the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait until your iPad starts on it's own.

DOH!! It was there all along, sorry, false alarm. I didn't know I had to scroll down the box for the remove from recents button!

Bee a Mac user since it was Lisa but on the phone side I went from a flip to an Android and just finally made the jump to iPhone. Got to say this is my first disappointment with the switch. On Android you could easily specify a default phone number and email for each contact. How hard would that be?

Ok, I've got this figured out but it makes no sense.

Yes this actually works. Maybe a little too late for me considering my GF blew up when she saw all the old "recent" contacts. Talk about motivation to resolve this issue...

Most of you have notice that the "removed from recents" is no longer available because the "circle i" is missing from the contact.

Here's what I did to get the "circle i" to return.

Log into your iCloud account.

Go to Contacts, and make sure "All contacts" is selected.

Start typing the name of one of your "recent" contacts.

When the name comes up, hit "edit" and then "delete contact"

Go to your phone and launch "messages"

Start typing the name of the contact you just deleted.

You will now see the "circle i"

Press the "circle i" and select "remove from recents

and yes it's permanently gone after that

I Can't find it On my iPad now. Is it hidden?

The remove from recents in mail is still there. Tap the i in a circle (ℹ) that follows the recent you want to remove, then scroll to the very bottom.

UUnfortunately when I do that very few of the addresses have the info Symbols. Could it be because some of the addresses have been there since 1998? I am on vacation now so I will tackle on my Mac when I get home.

Please let me know how it goes. On my iPad I can't find a way to delete a recent if it doesn't have the info icon. Thank you.

So, in order to delete "recent" addresses on icloud.com (some of them stubbornly making it to the top of the suggestion list, despite having nothing to do with being even remotely _recent_), I have to remove them ONE BY ONE? You mean, all hundreds of them?

I have addresses popping up that I have only used once or twice, years ago. I have bazillion of such entries. It is beyond ridiculous there is no "purge all" option.
