IOS have a possibility to make selective backup throw icloud! In other words you can choose only need applications to backup save!! See icloud setup for backup copy. But this is only icloud backup. ITunes backup is always include all applications.

So, in case of icloud selective backup you don't lost other information: history of sms, imessage, notes and so on, but you have only preffered set of applications.

But this is long way.

1. You have to make selective backup without some games, then try to restore the iPhone, restore backup. and see how game center works.

2. If this is not help return to 1, else bingo.

ahwm, do you make restore from icloud selective backup for your iPhone with same set of games like in your ipad?

ahw, How may friends do you have on iPhone and on ipad in Game Center?

The problem with iCloud, is that it required WiFi and a really decent upload speed ... I have ADSL at home 12 Mbps download/ 1 Mbps upload ... so to upload the iCloud backup, it takes for ever ... it's a pain in the *** !

Even though, I have a 3G/4G bandwidth that can reach to 20 Mbps ... crazy !

Good luck with Icloud backup.

In future change adsl to something new, for example optic cabel to home.

But I also have about 1 mb at home UPLOAD with cabel DOXIS MODEM with restrictions speed.

Backup is good make at night automatically, when I sleep.

Yah I know fiber optic would be great, but we don't have fiber laid in our area yet, nor cable is available in Kuwait.

Here in Kuwait, ADSL and Wireles 3G/4G is the most common means of internet connectivity .

I was able to find a friend who has 4G wireless device to use 🙂; the backup has been completed, I'm restoring now .. I hope it works out fine !

luay1985. I am in Russia. Here is better with telecommunication services. But I don't use 3G, because speed is restricted after several gigabites in month or 100Mb in day.

How many users you have in GAME CENTER on your account connected which bellongs to your device ? Many or not?

First of all, you can rollback to IOS 8.4.1 until apple will fix something.

OK guys ... so I did the iCloud backup for the important apps only [unique data that can't be retrieved from the Cloud], then restored it to my iPhone (Which took forever to download all the apps from the Appstore [specially whatsapp and it's backup]), and then tested the Game Center...

At the beginning: opening the Game Center app was still showing the blank page, and tapping <Game Center> in <Settings> was hanging, but after like 5 seconds, I was able to get into the Settings of Game Center; Into which I signed out from my previous user (which was my user only as in USER instead of USER@icloud.com), then I tried to sign with the same user, it didn't let me ... so I signed with USER@icloud.com, which worked ...

After few attempts, I was able to actually login to the Game Center app and get my previous data !!!

However, Game Center still takes time to open, around a minute or two, where before I remember leaving it for more than 30 mins without any progress

Good, but luay1985, when I was on ios 9.

I also slowly can exit from GAME CENTER with SETTING MENU (after relogin on my second device not every time) and I also see empty LOGIN SCREEN if I run GAME CENTER.

But it was very very slow and I can wait..... to loging... because this is waste time.

So, your selective backup doesn't help you?

It not bad news, because in that case this is not application backup problem. This is problem of APPLE SOFTWARE, which goes from ios7 (because in ios7 was similar problem) and at finish APPLE HAVE TO FIX IT QUICKLY.

Or may be inside the game center there is some file for game history, which goes from all games and this file not connected to games one by one backup.

It seems the issue appeared again ... what the **** !!

luay1985, as I told you in previous message. Its good. Now we know everything!

This is soft problem of ios 9 which doesn't depend of backup info. Probably it depends of game history of game center. But in that case - there is special place of this files or db in backup which we can't select from backup and can't fix by ourselves.

So, because of this apple users must turn Apple to fix the problem ASAP!! Because problem is not only one, two people, the people with game center problem growth.
