game center broken in ios 9

All people here with GC problem have many friends in GAME CENTER, haven't they? May be this problem appears only for people who have many friends?

Who have little number of friends in Game center here?

Densamir, I only have about 5 friends and have the same issue. Thankfully, the only game actually impacted is Age of Empires: Castle Siege. All other games I've tried launched and played just fine, including:

Infinity Blade III

Clash of Clans

Kingdom Rush Origins

The Wolf Among Us

Game of Thrones

Hearthstone

Words With Friends

Banner Saga

I have only 11 friends. As posted earlier, I have the problem on my iPad Air, but not on my iPhone 6. Updated both of them to iOS9 about the same time.

The same games that are not or only partially working on the iPad (e.g. Asphalt 8, Vega Conflict, Spider-Man Unlimited), work on the iPhone. 😕

I know exactly for sure that all game center games have a problem if games cannot connect (login) to game center!!

(this is from past experience with similar problem in ios 7, but in ios 7 it was no show stopper problem and I can make exit from game center and login again)

But games developers often make something to workaround slowing game center, for example if game center is slow game don't show you records or friends or don't save results in game center and you continue to play the game (not all the game) but with some minuses!!

The only difference I see between my iPhone (GC working) and iPad (GC not working) is that the iPad has about 4x as many games installed. So the amount of games might be a factor. Unfortunately I can't test that assumption because the iPad freezes when I go to the "wobbly" state to delete games. It resets itself after a while, but nothing works anymore after I long-press an app. Not even the home button.

I've read through most of the posts and replys... i have iPhone 6+. I have zero friends in Game Center, I only use about 20 apps and I only play two games. But both games login using Game Center. My Game Center is froze (white screen) and the settings are frozen as well. My games start to load all the way up to the point that it would normally state "logging in as ______ in Game Center". Given that the problem seems to show up on several divices and yet run fine on others same type of devices It appears that the issue is intermittent and iOS wide. And that it is an Apple iOS 9 issue.

THe he two games I play are both by Ember Entertainment:

1. Empire Z

2. Commanders

i think this is going to require an apple update to correct. Please keep updating us with any fixes or solutions

I Just got a new iPad mini 3. I updated my old iPad mini gen1 to iOS 9 and did a backup before and after. I then upgraded to iOS 9 on the mini 3 to restore from the gen1 backup. They BOTH have the problems with Game Center. My iPhone 4s has no issues and is running 8.4.1 iOS.

Im convinced it is an iOS issue with backups from pre-iOS 9. I will be rolling back to 8.4.1 and trust the iPads work like the iPhone GC.

I'm REALLY disappointed Apple let something this significant slip by them. I mean really, someone had to have been responsible for testing this 😟

I didn't spend good money on the 128 gig mini3 to experience a screw-up like this....

I had the same issue by the way ... I thought they are related. When I try to delete games, the OS hangs ... but I know how to delete them, since I did it.

Your only way to delete the games is to sync your iPhone with iTunes, and from iTunes click on <Remove> on the applications, then <Apply or Sync>. That will remove them ...

But I did remove all the games ... that didn't help in letting the GC load properly unfortunately !

I have a BIG concern which I think is related to the issue ....

I'm testing Game Center in Mac OS X, For some weird reason; logging with USER gives a totally different profile than USER@icloud.com !!! even though both have the same password and are under the same account !!

Is there a way to merge these two !? I think this is related to the issue some how ... since I remember I couldn't login with USER in the iOS game center when it worked ...

Hi all !

I tried different options during this week-end :

1) keep all my apps, do an iCloud backup but unselecting each app in the backup, then restore this backup : problem still here

2) delete all apps, do an iCloud backup, then restore this backup : problem still here

I think I tried everything I can, now I can only hope that Apple will propose a fix rapidly.

In the meantime, I have to choose between staying with IOS 9 and no game center or coming back to IOS 8.4.1.

I have the exact same problem with gamecenter on my iPad mini.

Geez, don't apple reps ever post in here? Even Microsoft would have come up with a workaround by now. 😟

Yes, with ios9 update, GC is not working.

On Settings -> Gamecenter, the screen simply freezes.

But GC gets connected automatically when I open my games ( It shows, "Welcome " " " at top when any game is launched).

GC app also shows white blank screen.

Hope Apple takes note of this and provide a fix soon.

I am waiting for Apple to provide a fix. Restore to ios8 is not an option for me.

The same problem here on IPhone 6 plus. The Game center is extremely slow. If you are patient enough it eventually works. It is clearly an IOS 9 problem. If Apple wants to keep its good name of producing good quality products and software, it should release immediately a fix!!!

When I was on IOS 9 not only game center opening and game center settings had a problem, games also wait and wait game center notifications....
