No update buttons in App Store iOS 9

Go to itunes main page bottom of page Apple ID Sign out then Sign back in .

If you still have problems, try this: Go to the "Featured" section, wait a few seconds, then tap the updates tab. Immediately after tapping the updates tab, tap "Update All" at the top of the screen.

I tried that, but it didn't help. I'm seeing the same issue as caritas48.

Worked like a champ. But I must say... you have to move fast to be able to click on "Update All" before it disappears.

I'm seeing the same problem too on an iPad 3 and iPhone 5s. On the slower iPad I can see the buttons launch with UPDATE and then immediately switch to OPEN. Tapping the buttons opens the old app. Power-cycled. No joy. How did this get by developer and public beta testing???

Also....

had another "Update" pop up since I did the quick finger thing to get the first "Update All" to work......

and the subsequent "Updates" have worked as normal. The APP displayed and the "Update" button appeared and worked as normal.

So nice to know the quick finger press was just for the first update after the iOS download !!!!!

Have the same problem, but iOS 8 AppStore apps suffering from the same issue right now!
So it should be a temporary problem while Apple focusing on iOS 9 updates and then it's should be OK!

Same problem as well. No update buttons on the app. Only open.

I turned off wifi, launch app store, press very quickly update all and then turned back on wifi!

This worked for me. I don't have cellular on iPad. Update buttons remained as update and started slowly turning into Open buttons. Switched to settings, turned on wifi, went back to App Store and tapped Update All again. Good luck!

Everything is back to normal for me!

this worked for me but it its only a temporary fix....when is Apple going to fix it?

I had the same problem before the iOS 9 update, and now ever after updating to iOS 9 the problem is still here

I noticed that apps that I just updated on my device dont actually sync with my computer, it still shows available updates for them in iTunes. Newly updated apps in iTunes do however transfer to the phone.

I have the same issue. Apps updated from my device won't sync with iTunes. Apps updated from iTunes, however, sync just fine.

Thanks! This worked for me. I had no problems with my wifi only iPad mini but my iPhone 5s wouldn't let me update any apps until I turned wireless off, hit update all and then turned wireless on. I didn't really want all those apps to update so I went back and turned most off again manually.
