No update buttons in App Store iOS 9

I can't update any of my apps in the App Store on my iPhone 6. I just upgraded to iOS 9. Immediately after the upgrade, I there were about 76 apps that needed updating. I chose a few to update, and those installed fine. But now when I go to the Updates area, every single app has an OPEN button next to it instead of an UPDATE button. Sometimes when I go to the Updates area, each app will briefly have an UDPATE button, but each one very quickly changes to an OPEN button. The Update All link at the top is disabled.

I'm having this same problem on my 5C. The iPad 2 wifi shows the update buttons just fine, but not on the phone.

Signing out and back in or the switch screens didn't work for me. I had to use the turn wifi off, relaunch the App Store and update all right away (then cancelling the ones I don't want to update right now) and turn wifi back on. I've never had this problem before but it seems like a pretty big one to me. Not sure I'll want to update my old 4S which my daughter uses as an iPod Touch until this fixed since there's no cellular signal for me to use to jump start the update.

Like the others, no clue how this one made it past beta. I have a hard time believing everyone in the beta group would automatically update their apps.

I had this same thing occur with my iPad 4 immediately after installing iOS 9 this afternoon. Tried signing out of the App Store, force quitting the App Store, restarting the iPad and then signing back in to the App Store. No luck.

Eventually I tried deleting several apps - in my case Pages, Keynote, and Numbers, and simply downloading them again. The reloaded apps are the correct new versions.

I did not have to worry about the data for these apps as mine is all in iCloud. If you try it the way I did, be sure your data is somewhere else.

Now I have to do the same thing with Facebook, Twitter and a few others. Hope it all goes just as smoothly.

I Have the same issue, iPhone 6+. Called apple, apparently this is the first they heard of it. As of 5 minutes ago.

i Was able to get my updates installed by closing all open apps (double press home button and swipe upwards) and then opened the App Store and quickly clicked on "updates" in lower right hand side corner and then clicked on update all at the top right while it appeared albeit very briefly and it started updating them all.

Apple thanked me for the information and have apparently added it to their troubleshooting database internally at Apple. a fix will surely have to be on the way.

goodluck peoples!

Add me to the list of users having this issue, and I have not updated to iOS 9 yet. I hadn't used my iPad mini in a little while, and the App Store icon showed 18 updates waiting. Clicked through to the App Store & got the briefly appearing Update button that switched to Open. Updated a couple of apps by deleting & re-installing, but wasn't about to do that for all of them. Found this thread and was able to get the 'quick hit the update all button' to work after a few tries. I have 1 update pending on my iPad Air, and the problem just cropped up there as well, and so far no luck. I don't have cellular on either iPad, and while somehow it worked that one time on the mini, if I switch it off on the air, the App Store won't open at all.

I'm mainly replying to say that 1) I did have some success with the 'quick press' fix, and 2) it's apparently not an iOS 9 problem, as I am running 8.4-whatever (latest OS prior to 9).
