iPhone 6 won't sync with iTunes 12.3

Hi here,


I updated to iTunes 12.3 today and now my iPhone 6 (which was updated to iOS 9 just today) won't sync with iTunes. I have the phone plugged in, it asks every time I plug it in if I want to allow my computer to access the phone (which I do allow), and the battery emblem in the top-right turns green (indicating that it's synced). That all said, when I open iTunes, the iPhone icon to the right of the others in the top-left corner does not show up, and my most recently added music does not get carried over to my phone, so I know it's not syncing. (I'm also running Windows 10.)


I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, as well as rebooting my computer and my iPhone. I also checked to see that Apple Device Support is running automatically, not manually, and that it's not damaged or anything. None of that worked, though.


Does anyone else have a suggestion?

these did not work for me. I did not have any portable devices in Device Manager or Apple Mobile USB Drivers.


BUT the long way above did work. I uninstalled ALL Apple Software Programs and then re-installed iTunes. Now iTunes recognizes my iPhone 6 and

iPad Air 2.


Good luck. Too all. You think they would have figured this out before the iTunes update.

This worked for me and it's very simple for syncing the music. When you have your iphone connected, go to the device music tab and select the music you want transferred. Don't click sync but then go back to the summary tab and check "Manually manage music and videos" under Options. Then click Apply and Sync at the bottom of that summary page. For some reason clicking this box unchecks the Sync Music box under the music tab. Doesn't really make sense to me but worked 🙂
