iPhone 6 won't sync with iTunes 12.3

Thanks - this worked for me - but why has apple not checked this before releasing IOS 9 / iTunes 12.3? There's bound to be a lot of 'non techies' out there who just wont know what to do. BIG FAIL on Apple's part. Hope they jump on it and get the fix done for others>

I actually tried your suggestion and it didn't work for me-but instead of typing in that long C: prompt, I had an option to install apple ethernet in my device manager. Once I had done that, I was again able to sync with itunes. Just wanted to tell people of another way in case this suggestion above didn't work for them.

This has helped me in less than 2 minutes. The lady from the Apple support desk recommended I downgrade to W8 because, you know, Apple blames Microsoft and Microsoft blames Apple... these did not work for me. I did not have any portable devices in Device Manager or Apple Mobile USB Drivers.

BUT the long way above did work. I uninstalled ALL Apple Software Programs and then re-installed iTunes. Now iTunes recognizes my iPhone 6 and

iPad Air 2.

This worked for me and it's very simple for syncing the music. When you have your iphone connected, go to the device music tab and select the music you want transferred. Don't click sync but then go back to the summary tab and check "Manually manage music and videos" under Options. Then click Apply and Sync at the bottom of that summary page. For some reason clicking this box unchecks the Sync Music box under the music tab. Doesn't really make sense to me but worked 🙂
