It is the Hosts who delete posts. They don't read the forum for suggestions. And, mostly, the Hosts look at posts because they were reported by users, not because the Hosts are reading every thread. There aren't enough hours in the day for that.

Anyone running the public beta for 9.3? Is there any change for full screen video playback, on an iPad? Is it still broken? Should I just give up hope that the Podcast app will have proper fullscreen video playback on an iPad? It seems many have given up hope it will ever be fixed. I've submitted feedback, to Apple, with every iOS 9 update release, it feels like it's just a waste of time. Dang. Oh well. 😟

Are you referring to a miracle or an iOS update for the iPad?

I am referring to the Podcast App in 9.3 which seems to have been greatly updated and now allows full screen as an option on my iPad in landscape. Well done Apple.

I confirm this. At last -- after six months the inability of the podcast app to play full screen video on an iPad is fixed on iOS 9.3. iOS9 should have never shipped with that bug -- many software companies I know would consider that or equivalent broken functionality a "ship stopper" and simply refuse to ship software with a such a glaring defect in a common user path.

However it is now fixed, so all the people who have switched to Downcast or other 3rd party tools can consider switching back.

I discovered this by accident just now. I don't know if this was in the iOS 9.3 update but if you tap the video playing in the small bar on the iPad it will go full screen, this worked for me so it should work for you guys too

I came back to this thread to say that fullscreen videos in podcasts app works just fine on iPad I tested a hunch i had today on my iPad air 2 running iOS 9.3

In the video while the white bars are present take a single finger and double tap on the playing video. That's IT, it will go full screen, and you will get the traditional controller bars, to get back tap on done in the upper left corner of the top controller bar.
