I am having this same problem. Please let us know if you figure it out.
trigger76,
Are the notes syncing between two different devices? After the .1 update our phones still do not sync. If you are logged into the same iCloud account as the main account they should sync. It works flawlessly on my iPhone and my iPad but that is because my iCloud account is the main on both devices. The issue I am having is they are not syncing on separate iCloud accounts, which they should since on iOS 8 it worked. ( I am signed in under "Mail, Contact and Calendars) on my wife's phone and she is signed in under my Mail, Contacts and Calendars and Notes is switched on and no syncing. Contacts and Calendars syncs no problem, it's just Notes. Which appears to be a bug.
I have a feeling that the accounts are not seeing the upgraded Notes app and think the other account is running iOS 8 and the old Notes app. Hopefully there will be a fix, but I am not holding my breath.

Hi All,
I'm using Windows and Outlook Notes, and iTunes doesn't sync Notes on my iPhone6 and the Outlook Notes anymore after I upgraded to iOS9.0.1.
Need gurus' help here!
1.) After upgraded to iOS 9.0.1, iTunes (12.3.0.44) says it could not sync notes because the phone is disconnected, but it's still connected, and Calendar and apps were synced.
Never have any issue with iTunes in syncing the iPhone with the Outlook Notes on my laptop, until after I have updated to this latest iOS 9.0.1. It was ver8 before this.
2) I reboot my laptop and my iPhone, then iTunes seems to complete the sync without that error message.
But then Outlook now has 2 copies of every note:
What has Apple done to Notes?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Taijiboy

I have a similar problem to Jeremy.
I use to create notes and update them on www.icloud.com BUT since I upgraded my iphone 5s to ios 9.0.1 I can't get the notes syncronized with my iphone!
This is rubbish! i'm tired of Apple!
I'll call to apple.
regards,
MITROLAS
My issue is slightly different in that after upgrading to 9.0.1 all of my old Notes have disappeared, they are not on cloud either but does, after reading through here, some bug stopping Notes functioning properly.
Hope they fix it and can retrieve lost notes as I had loads of helpful snippets in them, frustrated lots.
Mitrolas,
I just got off the phone with Apple. It is not clear if they happened to over look the issue or completely removed the feature. She said she is going to continue and speak with the software team. she did recommend me and others to submit feedback to Apple and voice our displeasure.
I Have a feeling that the feature was disabled on accident. Just doesn't make sense that Contacts and Calendars sync between our phones, but Notes doesn't.
I will keep you all updated if I hear anything new.
Jeremy
I Had similar sync issues just today of Reminders not synching, I did a Hard reset (Holding power and Main button) and it fixed it and now its synching correctly.
NOte that restarting the iPhone didnt fix it,but the Hard reset did
Hi Mitrolas, Jeremy,
Thanks!
Meanwhile, I have decide to port my Outlook Notes to Microsoft OneNote, and sync between the OneNote.com and the OneNote in my iPhone.

Hey guys,
I've called Apple and I solved my issue!
I've just closed my session on my iphone on icloud and logged on again. (When I close my session on icloud I selected to delete all my notes on my iphone)
Then I logged on again on icloud on the iphone and synchronization started working well again.
regards,
Filipe
Glad to hear your issue was resolved. Hopefully Apple will resolve the other issues we are having.
IM reading this on an iPhone and I have to constantly zoom in to navigate this text. Isn't it funny how we get ****** when need to go to another news website because it doesn't support reader but apples own website doesn't lol
I just got off the phone with AppleCare and they informed me that two separate iCloud accounts can no longer see each others iCloud notes. It appears apple removed this feature with the new Notes app. They recommend me and others who are experiencing this problem to voice your frustration and leave feedback on the apple website. I have done this already. The AppleCare employee said if enough people complain they usually bring the feature back. I am very disappointed with the removal of this feature.
So, I would leave feedback and tell Apple you are not happy.
I would but it warns me that all of my notes will be deleted and I'm afraid because it's the number one thing I use on my phone.
same form me but not only Notes: Contacts and Messages although icloud.com is correct
I am shocked that Apple Support did not tell you this ...
The new format of Notes in iOS 9 is not compatible with OS X Yosemite (or earlier). The new iOS 9 Notes format requires El Capitan (released today). Perhaps you did not notice the advisory when you first opened Notes in iOS 9 ... there was a warning to this effect if you choose to update to the new Notes (you didn't have to migrate to the new format ... I am on iOS 9 still using the old Notes format, and my iCloud Notes continue to sync to my Mac using Yosemite). Tonight I'll do the OS X update, then update my iOS Notes format.
At this point the "solution" is to update to El Capitan if you already updated your iOS Notes format.
rockmyplimsoul,
I think you don't understand my issue, it is not with my Mac, it between two different iPhones were the new Notes app is not syncing. See, me and my wife each have an iPhone 6. I am signed in under my iCloud account on my phone and my wife is signed in under her iCloud account on her phone. Now, in "Mail, Contacts and Calendars" you can add another iCloud account to sync between Contacts, Calendars and Notes. Since the iOS 9 update they broke that feature and you can no longer sync notes between two separate iCloud accounts on iPhones, or iPads for that matter.
I am fully aware that Yosemite's Notes were not compatible with iOS 9's Notes. The problem is between two iPhones not syncing.
Thank you for your assistance though.
