iTunes 12.3 doesn't recognize proxy settings

An older version has no problems. Everything works fine. Since I installed iTunes 12.3.0.44 today it can't connect to the iTunes store.

Hello,

How did you solved your issue, if you did?

I could fix this problem strangely by following this :

http://ccm.net/forum/affich-278794-cannot-connect-to-itunes-stores

« I found this on another site and it fixed my problem: Opened iTunes. Clicked on Preferences and under Parental Controls disabled access to the iTunes Store.

I then checked the box to allow access to iTunes U. When I tried loading the store this time, it sent me directly to iTunes U with no problem.
I then went back into Preferences and enabled access to everything and tries reloading the store.
Voila. I can now connect to the whole store with no problems. Strange »

I have a similiar issue with version 12.6.2.20

Currently any Update to iOS 10.3.3 will brick any iPhone (tested with the 6,6S and 7), when a proxy is in iTunes configured. I Repeated the test with 2xWin10 and 1xWin7 machines, which all did show this behaviour.

It's the same with iPhones that are stuck in Recovery Mode. They cannot be resetted to factory settings, when

a proxy is configured (iTunes will Timeout during the "checking the iPhone recovery" after the Apple Update Verification step).

The previous Update 10.3.2 works flawlessly.

I can connect and download from the iTunes store with our current proxy settings, so i guess the iOS Update 10.3.3 has a new authentification/verification step, that doesn't like the system proxy.

I know, that this is an enduser portal and Apple has an Bugtracker Site where stuff like this can be reported, but it needs an developper Account, which i simply don't have.

I also have this problem at the company. There is a solution I found but it doesn't work well.

At Internet Explorer (or system control panel) Internet settings at LAN connections you can adjust the proxy settings for automatic discovery and/or manual proxy address. You have to deactivate automatic part and fill in the proxy address to the space where it is required. However if I do this I can't connect to my Intranet. iTunes can connect to Internet though.

This has to be fixed, because not everyone has the rights to change those settings. (Because I have a company laptop, i was able to change it, whereas at the desktop of my colleague, he couldn't.)
