Can't hear any sound on calls after iOS9 update

Any luck figuring out what's going on? I'm having the same issue... the microphone does not work when calls made or received, however all works well when using FaceTime or Facebook for calls. Seems like a software issue to me as the hardware works fine using other apps to place or receive calls... This only started happening after the iOS 9 update... And continues with 9.0.1...

I also have not been able to resolve this issue with rebooting or restoring. I've tried everything (multiple times). Had no problems with my phone until I updated to iOS 9. Now I can't use the actual phone unless it's on speaker. My earpiece only works 10% of the time (after I plug and unplug headphones, sometimes) and my notification sounds go on and off and halfway between. I have 9.0.1 and still the same issues. Apple, please do something about this.

same here... after updating ios 9 and then ios 9.0.1 got huge mistake... i cant talk with phone unless use earpiece or speaker mode... please fix it ASAP. I need to talk with my phone!

I am experiencing same frustrating issues with sounds....or should I say, the lack there of! I updated to the iOS 9 last week then the 9.0.1 a day or so later and its the worst! Wish I could just remove this update but when talking with apple support they advised that is not possible. I've rebooted and restored my phone well over a dozen times in the last 5 days or so since this stupid iOS update. Restoring through iTunes was a temporary "fix" the issue but only lasted for less than 24 hours then it was back to the same old B.S of no sound.

I used to love Apple products but am starting to understand why the "apple-haters" are so against Apple products! I hope they get their stuff together and get this crap figured out soon!

I have the same issue. My phone will ring but I can only answer it if I'm using the speaker phone. It just started when I updated to IOS 9. I've rebooted multiple times and it still doesn't work. Apple needs to come out with a fix ASAP. A lot of consumers are losing faith in your product!

I am having the same issue but re-starting and re-booting have not helped. Nor has turning on 'Hearing Aid' mode.

Anyone had any joy with a fix yet?

My phone had gone in for repair so hopefully I'll get some answers!

I have the same issue rebooting and hard resetting didnt work either. Apple please come up with the solution or your reputation will be affected.

I'm having the same problem. The volume is turned all the way up and I can barely here. At first I thought my hearing was going. I've tried restarting and hard set with no success!

I have been having a similar issue but only after I flip the volume switch to mute. When I un-mute it I have to restart the phone to hear notifications. It is ridiculous and time consuming. Come on Apple. This is one of the worst updates yet!!

for mine a lil bit different, it can't make a sound when I make a phone call but it can make a good sound when I played music. Can anyone help me how to fix it ?

Restarting phone did not help me had to take back off and disconnect the battery which sorted the speaker issues. have also lost use of camera

Got the same problem on my iPhone 4S iOS 9.1 . Powered down and resetting my iPhone , don't know if my problem is over.

Have the same issue.

Initially started when I used headset but then after rebooting it was ok. Now happens at different times without using headphones. Sometimes rebooting it helps and sometimes not. This is getting insane.

Has anyone found a fix?

Ps. using speaker, headset, bluetooth doesn't make a difference and wiping/reloading phone doesn't'' help either
