iCloud Backup Broken After iOS 9 Upgrade

lets see. To me that would be the solution too, it's like the iCloud accounts got stuck somehow with iOS 9

what you mean to wipe? I've already erased all traces of backup from my iCloud account

I Meant a reset of my account performed by Apple. I erased all my backups too

I asked them to do the wype an hour ago and they told me they could not do anything ... mah...

And then?? Didn't they give you a solution?

Nothing!!! common issue and only wait for patch...

No news. I'll write again my apple advisor later.

I don't think any of this solutions posted here fixes the problem, in my mind it was just "luck".

I tried everything already mentioned here (I won't wipe all my devices, one is enough).

I own 5 iDevices:

• iPhone 6s on iOS 9.0.2
• iPhone 5s on iOS 9.0.2
• iPhone 5 on iOS 9.2.1
• iPad mini retina on iOS 9.0.2
• iPhone 4 on iOS 7.1.2

Only on the iPhone 4 the iCloud backup works.

I've made the iPhone 5 completely new from scratch.

I've tried a backup while connected to the same wireless network with the same DNS servers.

While the backup was successful with the iPhone 4, the backup on the other devices (I tried all on iOS9) failed.

Here is the syslog while the device tries to perform a backup.

I've replaced 2 strings which looked like an ID to me, also I've replaced the devicename. Just to get sure.

To outline it: The device was NOT offline as the log says. There are no restrictions which could prevent communication. Synchronization of the other iCloud stuff (bookmarks, pictures, keyboard shortcuts, ...) works without any troubles.

I talked again to Apple today, no news. They said this issue is afecting many users and they are investigating, nothing else...

Read this forum and tried all the things on the 28 pages and nothing helped.

Called Apple support today, but still didn't help:

- is this problem also on other device -> no, ipad works

- is this problem in other wifi network -> yes, at home and office

- reset all settings -> didn't help

- restore using itunes and set up new phone -> didn't help

Figured out temporary fix:

- created new icloud account.

And it works!

Let's hope that 9.2 fixes the issue.

My 6 plus with 9.3b2, my iPad with 9.3b1 and 4s 9.2.1 now works! I don't touch anything!

I had to disable and enable iCloud backup on the phone, but now it seems to work again 🙂
